Perdika Mare Guesthouse — Hotel in Municipality of Aegina

I just got back from a week on Aegina, where I spent 7 nights at the Perdika Mare Guesthouse. It was exactly what I needed - a quiet, clean place to stay with a very friendly and helpful manager. He helped me plan my week, helped me rent a car for two days and organized my visit to the hospital in Aegina for my PCR test. The room was not big but perfect for one person with an above average sized small fridge and a very nice sized terrace overlooking the sea. The room was exceptionally clean. The bathroom is small but the shower stall is bigger than most I've experienced in Greece. If you're looking for a base to explore the island or a place to just sit, watch and listen to the sea, this is the perfect place. Worst hotel experience ever!

-Uncomfortable beds -Dirty/untidy room -Awful breakfast quality (paid extra 10€) -Poor service concept

When we reached there, the room wasn't ready for check-in. More than half an hour later they told us that the room is ready but the cleaning lady was unaware of us who are new guests. She just took the trash out. Wet towels were hanged on the bathroom door, bed linen was other guests', etc. The staff/manager didn't apologize or show any empathy for this. They just told us "you can sit on the room's balcony while waiting" as if nothing happened. - insufferable- And i want to add...I made the reservation from hotel's website. I paid extra for balcony/garden view for more spacious but it just fits in one chair, one tiny table. -bad...

Perdika Mare has a perfect location! It is right on the water, but not so close to the restaurants and bars that you would be bothered by any noise. With a quick walk up the hill and down the other side, you find loads of restaurants and access to the boats going to Moni Island. There are several grocery stores within 5-minutes walk. The room was clean and pretty with a small refrigerator and a great little sitting area outside. The manager Christos went out of his way to let us know all the information we would need to enjoy our stay and was super personable!
