Remetzo — Restaurant in Municipality of Aegina

I have eaten several times in this restaurant which I find it to be above average for the classic seafood restaurants in the country..!! I have given a rating of 4 stars just because I believe prices could be better in general in all the taverns of the area..!! Prices are higher because the boaters can pay for such prices however not everyone is a boater..!! I read some very unfair reviews from people who have no idea what seafood is..!!further more they went there to eat chicken breast and sausages and said the food smelled fish..!!🙄😳😅😂Who on earth bearing common sense would do such thing? These restaurants are for people who know what they want or have done their homework if they don’t know,to study yes to study as to what to expect if they are not familiar with the kind of food..!! I.e. if you don’t like fried calamari very oily then give instructions to the waiter of what you want in order to satisfy your needs..!! but again meal satisfaction has to do with knowing what you want and how you want it..😅😅😉

REVISITED A YEAR LATER from the above review..!! We went for lunch and we were very pleased to see that this place differs in quality and quantity of the portions from the rest that they have raised the prices( somehow normal these days) but at same time made their plates smaller in size..!! So REMETZO will be my restaurant of choice when I go for lunch or dinner...

What can I say for this restaurant end of October being still summer in the south of Aegina, this restaurant is at the corner back from the series of crowded (and expensive) restaurants with copy paste menu. Here at the most beautiful corner of Perdika, you can find delish food, variety (try the avocado salad with chickpeas and the staffed green pepper in red sauce and cheese to die for) I sunbathed, relaxed, ate comfy food and I leave for the end the best part: the best roze wine I have ever tasted in my life! I was astonished like the food critic at the Ratatouille! I could taste the grape literally, a pink muscat from Tirnavos region that blew my mind! The owner was kind enough, a notorious CX champion in Aegina, to order me a batch as it is not bottled and here lies the big surprise! Overall one of my 2 best restaurants in Aegina! A bliss! Nice place by the sea. Very good mezze, I recommend tzatziki and especially the cheese and Honeywell pie, which is a blast! Generally mezze were the good part of the dinner, second course was questionnable. Grilled calamari ok but nothing special, large size but this was not what we were actually looking for (prefer quality to quantity), then fried code with mashed galic potatoes and the fisherman saganaki were a total failures, we left them in the plates. Sălads like Greek and Remetzo were good, as quite frequent în Greece. Location is very nice by the marina, great sunset pics few yards further down to Moni Island.
