THE tEN — Restaurant in Municipality of Aegina

We went there based on the great reviews that we read about this place but unfortunately we weren't lucky this time. A five star rating is easily given for how polite and courteous the personnel was and for the service we got.

We started well with a very nice Greek salad and mussels that tasted great. After that unfortunately things went south. The Biftekia was dry, hard and chewy. The quantity of the grilled octopus was petite - which wasn't really the issue - but it was very rubbery. We didn't finish the Biftekia plate and I am glad the cats were happy with the octopus!

I apologise for this review beforehand. My intention is simply to portray an experience and not harm the business or its personnel, because they seem like great...

Didn't have any expectations but we were a group of 9 on a day trip and needed to eat and had saw from previous reviews this was family owned so have it a shot.

Knew we were in for a good meal when we saw the nonna out front picking vegetables, which turned out to be the freshest seasonal greens.

Everything was amazing, service impeccable, from the uncle to the grandson who looked after us and obviously the grandma and mum in the kitchen. We were just blown away and this is the reason you travel to have moments like this. No corporate chains or corporate owners, just an extremely well run family business serving...

We stopped here on our way to Moni Island, and we loved it so much that we stopped again on our return from the island. The service was impeccable, with the family owning the business for a few generations now. They have fresh fish and the octupus was delicious. The saranaga was also great, and we had a fresh greek salad on the side. Going to To Deka was the high point of our stay in Aegina, due to the atmosphere and politeness of the staff.
