Nature Villas Myrthios — Hotel in Municipality of Agios Vasileios

I am Swiss and used to mountains and clean homes. it was our first time here and this place was beyond our expectations. Our drive from Heraklion Airport took us about 1 hour and 1/2. as we approached Myrthios, heavy rain storm greeted us. the host was waiting at the little villa and accompanied us inside holding an umbrella above our heads. a very warm welcome by the host. Since it was already night time we only realized the stunning view of the Mediterranean sea and its surrounds the next morning. the two areas of the villa both have huge sliding glass doors, the size of the entire front of the home, enabling to see the incredible panorama. there is 3 villas next to each other and they are located above all other habitats high above the sea. behind the home there is only mountains, nature and olive trees. the villas are well designed. we like quality design, which this place is. choice of building materials are of high quality, traditional and organic, with solar water heater. The hosting family are very engaged. They gave us eggs from their chickens, olive oil from their olive trees and honey from their bees. It was paradise all the way. We appreciated the fact that end of December - beginning of January there are internally zero tourists. Yes, the weather is a little cooler and maybe you will not take many swims in the beautiful private pool, but you can enjoy the area, taking long walks, going for drives without ever crossing anybody. The area is deserted, which is perfect...

A beautiful villa overlooking a very picturesque view of Crete.

My wife and I booked this Phil for three nights and we would recommend anyone to visit this property if they are considering it.

The Villa is high up overlooking the towns below with a stunning outlook. You need a car to be at this property and it takes between five and 10 minutes to drive to any of the local restaurants whether on the beachfront or in one of the local villages.

The property itself is clean , well looked after and Qui with everything you need to have an enjoyable stay. It is very modern as well.

We have already recommended it to a couple of our friends and family, and if we choose to come back to this area of Crete, we will look to book this place again.

The owner of the property communicated very well and made staying here even better.

Lastly getting into the property was slightly difficult as Google Maps tried to take us down two tracks that were not suitable for cars. However the one that is suitable for cars was easy...

Absolutely fantastic stay! We stayed in the highest of the three villas and couldn’t have been happier.

The view is simply stunning. One of those sights that takes your breath away every morning. It truly feels unreal.

The villa itself is modern, beautifully designed, and fully equipped with everything you might need. Although there are two other villas nearby, ours still felt private and peaceful.

The location is ideal for exploring the area, with Plakias just a short drive away and plenty of places to visit within a 45 minute radius.

Just a tip: if you’re using a satnav, make sure it routes you via the fire station junction to avoid the unpaved roads.
