We had this Restaurant as a recommendation from a friend but still had no knowledge except that the food should be good.
When you arrive at Vrisi Restaurant you are flashed by an breathtaking view. You get the full view of Plakias and the setting sun behind a mountain. In the background was some nice piano music. To get a table without a reservation was no problem even though the restaurant was pretty full.
Before getting your food you get some water, bread and olive oil which tasted already promising. The food was delicious. You can order something traditional greek or something fitting the location, a modern tasty combination like the special Burger. The wine was also really good and as a desert you got some nice mini Tartes with some Raki which was also both amazing.
The service was on point and really friendly. You dont have to wait long for your food and like no time for your drinks. Vrisi might be a little more expensive and not so traditional looking but definitely worth it to spend yout money. We are aleady excited for out next visit. Five...
Read moreNice place with attentive service. It's tucked away one level down from the main road, so just follow the black signs to "Restaurant Vrisi".
Portions here are HUGE. For example, under Starters, you'll find a burger which will fill you completely. Comparision that comes to mind (for those of you who know): U.S. burger chain Red Robin burgers. The burger size and taste is comparable. Do not make the mistake and order a main course because this "starter" option is enough for lunch and probably dinner!
Also good: The very tasty Vrisi salad, with thinly sliced cheese strips, nuts etc. It is a more than generous portion as well.
However, I did not care for their fresh lemon juice drink. To me, it had a bit of a dish detergent component to it. Everything else was...
Read moreJust fantastic, Greek with a modern twist. First you notice the breathtaking view, then the open, airy and modern restaurant. The menu is exciting enough but then had to amend my choice when their daily special included baby squid, catch of the day! The squid was just delicious, the batter so thin and perfectly seasoned. The starter was a fava bean purée with caper apples and marinated anchovies, 2 of my absolute favorite foods. The portion was so generous, I had to ask for 1/2 of it to be wrapped up to go. My Greek coffee came with 2 dainty, utterly delicious tartelettes with cream pâtisserie and slices of nectarine. It was Sunday, there were lots of Greek families there with their kids. If you like it quiet, pick another day. I liked it, added...
