Location, accommodation and service, GrandeMar will blow your mind, it did ours. | Astepalea is an island unknown to many (not for long) there is no place on the island which is not picture perfect. | enough vibe to keep an authentic feel and the view is just breathtaking. Little Restaurants, bars and boutique shops 2 minutes walk from our suite. the GrandeMar is the creation of its owners Mike and Mary, they built this unique trio of suites, designed with respect to the island identity and luxury to the max, we stayed at the Querini suite, main reason is the panoramic view to both - the bright blue of the ocean and the iconic castle at the top of the mountain. Wow. We were 6 family members ages from 27 to 54 and the suite was very spacious to fit us all. |Rooms are large all with see view. |the privet pool and balcony was a great hang out place,when we were too lazy to explore this magical island, very generous and tasty selection for breakfast delivered to your suite at the time of your choice. To top it all the service! - Mary and Mike, the owners and hosts of GrandeMar just live, breath and understand the meaning of hospitality, any thing we needed they provided, they were available whenever we needed them they did way more then we ever expected. |they created a luxury place on a magical island to make you feel at home, and we did. |We strongly recommend not to miss a yacht trip with Mike, we got a discount as guests, the yacht will take you to the most crystal clear blue waters locations you will ever see. We had an incredible stay at Grande Mar Suites in Astypalaia. The location is fantastic. It is just a two minute walk from Chora with lots of great restaurants and shops, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful. Our suite had a breathtaking view over Chora, the windmills, the Venetian castle, the harbour and the sea. The terrace was huge with our own private outdoor pool which felt like such a luxury.||||Maria, the owner, was amazing throughout our stay. She really made sure we were looked after and even let us stay longer on the day we left so we could shower and get changed after the beach. This was such a thoughtful gesture.||||Her husband also runs boat tours, including private trips. We booked one to explore nearby islands and beaches that you cannot reach by foot or car. The Red Rocks were definitely one of our absolute highlights. We went snorkelling through caves, were the only ones there and saw plenty of fish. It was a truly unforgettable experience.||||Breakfast was another highlight. You choose your options the day before from a big list with loads of local delicacies like tiropita, homemade cakes, Greek yoghurt and several egg dishes. Every morning felt like a treat.||||Honestly, the photos online do not show how stunning this place really is. We travel to the Greek islands every summer and this was definitely one of our top experiences. We will absolutely come back next time we visit Astypalaia.||||Many...
