Kolokytha — Restaurant in Municipality of Astypalaia

We first discovered Kolokitha on a visit to Astypalaia in November 2022. That visit we dropped by several times. The service was excellent and we enjoyed the coffees.

On this visit in July 2023 we have visited a couple of times and found the service still excellent. On today’s visit, the waiter (who was from Piraeus) was really charming and perfectly attentive. We decided to try the food and had an excellent scrambled eggs with tomato and feta along with a delicious salad with seasonal fruits. My wife had the home-made lemonade and loved that!

Overall, the service is excellent, the food is delicious, the drinks perfect and the view over the small harbour can keep you entertained and relaxed. And there’s free Wi-Fi too - strongly...

Friendly staff. We took coffee, homemade lemonade and pancakes with biscuits and banana. I think it is a bit expensive for what they offer. Coffee was not so good, lemonade had a bit more sugar but ok, pancakes were nice. The crust really good but I would appreciate more slices of banana and biscuits. from the ones we tried, Kolokytha definitely has the best desserts in the island.

We tried two versions of cheesecake (with the one made with a local white cheese instead of cream cheese and baked, NY style) and topped with honey syrup and cinnamon, being by far the best one and also banoffee which was nice as well
