This is one of the worst vacations in my life! If you are planning to go as a young couple to this hotel because you were told that this hotel is for young people, then this is a complete lie! I recommend you look at other options, CANCEL YOUR BOOKING HERE, THIS IS A TERRIBLE HOTEL!!! The first thing that started our trip was the first impression of the hotel, it was pleasant, but then .... I would like to draw your attention to the fact that our room (117) only works with a key, initially, this did not seem like a problem, since not all rooms have contactless access cards, but in other rooms, cards work, unfortunately, during the whole week, our lock jammed approximately every day and did not want to either open or close, you will see a photo of the condition of the lock below. Let's continue further, when you enter the room you will feel a sharp smell of chlorine, it will last for about 2 days, but it is not as bad as what happens in the bed, THERE ARE BED BUGS IN THE BED, unfortunately, after this vacation you will need to go to a dermatologist, because my whole body is in vinegar from bedbugs, we told the owner of the hotel about this, but there was no reaction, the bugs continued to bite us. The food is terrible, the food at the bar near the pool is terrible, also in the "restaurant" the food is constantly repeated, and not all of it is fit for consumption, after eating in this place there were problems with constipation, if you are from CIVILIZED Europe, then you will only like Balagneze, everything else will poison you. I would also like to note that there is an unpleasant man in the "restaurant" all the time, he is probably some kind of manager, and God forbid you would want to take something to your room, you will be yelled at and humiliated, because despite the situation, food and DRINKS cannot be taken to your room, yes, of course, each place has its own rules, but unfortunately only we witnessed injustice, because OTHER GUESTS WERE ALLOWED TO TAKE FOOD AND DRINKS TO THEIR ROOM WITHOUT PERMISSION. There are a LOT of pensioners in the hotel, there is NO entertainment, for the whole week there was only a disco from the 80s, nothing else.A nice bonus, if YOU catch an allergy in this FOUR STAR hotel, all that you will be offered at the reception is tablets for a headache and a bandage. Therefore, take a FULL first aid kit with you, and yes, if you feel bad, the hotel doctor only works on weekdays, so try not to die on the weekend. The only person I want to thank is the bartender Georg, run away from there, you are the best employee, your cocktails are wonderful. By the way, regarding alcohol, all the alcohol in the hotel is not real, but captive, it tastes terrible. Regarding cleaning - the room is cleaned not just badly, but terribly, in our room there were 2 bathrooms, until we complained at the reception (3-4 days after check-in) one of the bathrooms was not cleaned. There are HUGE SANITATION PROBLEMS in this department, the room stinks of sewage, the pipes are leaking!!!! I do not recommend it, I will definitely write an article for the news portal and also give full feedback to the travel agent, RUN, DO NOT GO HERE, NEVER!!!!!! CANCEL YOUR BOOKING AND REST IN ANOTHER HOTEL WHERE THE STAFF IS KINDER!!!!!!!! -100/10 I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!!Don't stay at this hotel, never in your life! Also the plumbing works terribly, the taps LEAK, the toilets also leak, there is black mold or rust everywhere in the bathroom, regarding cleaning the same - near my bedside table there were stalactites of snot, THE CLEANING LADY DOESN'T CLEAN THE ROOMS, THERE IS TOTAL DISINTEERING HERE Also, in addition to the residents in the hotel room, there are also some in the "restaurant", the whole "restaurant" is full...
Read moreWe came back from our stay in Malia Beach Bay yesterday and honestly, I am suprised about all the positive reviews. When we were accomodated, my husband went to take a shower. He noticed a huge mold in the bathroom. There are no shower doors. The floor was sticky and not cleaned. We went to reception, asked a receptionist if they could be so kind and send someone to clean the room. Receptionist sent us to room cleaning manager who started to argue with us that floors are perfectly clean. When we were arguing back she called a receptionist and she told us to wear slippers and we will have no problem 😵💫. Trash bin in the bathroom was broken. On the wardrobe were missing handles. Due to the last reaction of hotel, we decided that we will communicate all of our issues with travel agency. I have to tell that travel agent Alexandra from Hydrotour is amazing and professional! Hotel promised that by evening all the issues will be resolved. When we came back to the room, we noticed that what they done was that they installed 1!!! handle to two door wardrobe. Luckily, receptionist changed at that time and they changed our room. New room was perfectly clean. Big issue in this hotel are beds. I do not understand who decided to make double bed out of two single beds ON WHEELS. Food in the hotel is average. Almost all of the restaurant staff was very friendly, nice and helpful, only 1 bad experience when I asked a lady which food is without gluten as I am a celiatic and she told me to eat vegetable. When I asked another staff member they called me a chef and he showed me all the foods I can eat and later that day on the dinner he came to me by himself for what I am very grateful. Lifeguard in this hotel is only a mystic creature. You see him in the morning when he opens the pool (honestly I am not sure if out of the 8 days we were there it was open on time, but you could bet that it will be closed sooner as it is supposed to be) and then he dissapears. Staff in the pool bar is very nice and friendly, drinks are fine. Also in the hotel bar is super nice guy Georgios. He makes amazing drinks. On the beach you can rent "luxury" beds, please do not let them fool you and check them before you pay 20€ for them. Entry to the sea is not very good due to huge rocks, I recommend to go to Potamos Beach that is not more than 500m from hotel.
Overall experience with this hotel would not be that bad besides the first day and our experience with receptionists. They give you a feeling that you are not welcomed and that you are bothering them. Otherwise this hotel is below average but nothing too serious.
I am sure we will not come back only because of the human aspect of the hotel and...
Read moreThe hotel was such a disappointment for us that we don't even know where to start... Rooms - the standard room didn't look anything like the photos in the offer. Starting with the bathroom, there were no doors on the shower so the water was flooding the whole bathroom and even the bedroom, there was also mold and rust in the shower area and on the doors to the bathroom, sometimes you couldn't set the temperature while showering - there was only the "boilng hot" option. The bedroom was not so cozy either, the bed was constantly splitting in the middle and the mattresses were heavily stained and dirty, the furniture seemed outdated and one of the lights didn't even work properly. Walls were smudged and you could see killed insects on the ceilling. Our balcony had a "superior" garden view so we could see the mighty fence of the neighbouring hotel. Wifi was not working in our room, neither did we get any cell service. Overall the rooms were outdated and would have deserved a thorough deep clean and a little bit of love. Staff - staff on the reception was not willing to help with any of the issues mentioned above, they were even rude when we asked about the problem with the internet connection, throughout our stay we went to the reception two times to complain about the issues with absolutely no results or will to resolve them. Special shoutout to Thanos and George at the bar, they cheered us up every time we went for a drink and were always kind and friendly. Food - Wide variety of meals but not of the greatest quality and taste, the breakfast was the same every single day of our stay, dinners were okay-ish but we could not say the same about lunches.. The snack bar was pretty basic, but because of the poor selection of lunch meals, it saved the day quite some times. Desserts were either way too sweet or did not have any taste at all. The selection of drinks (all inclusive) was bellow average, but the staff at the bars was willing to make any drinks despite their limited resources. All inclusive - You were considered as an "all inclusive" guest only till 11 pm, after that you have to pay for the drinks, even the soft ones like cola or juice. Hotel - pretty basic looking, freshly and nicely renovated reception and lobby with the bar, all the other premisse of the hotel were okay. Weirdly, all of the pools closed at 6 pm with people still wanting to enjoy the last beams of sun in the comfort of the hotel. Beach was quite nice, but watch out for the rocks when entering the sea - they can be quite slippery and sharp.
Overall, we do not recommend this hotel as it is very far from the...
