Olympus malia studios — Hotel in Municipality of Chersonissos

Olympus studio Malia Potamos Crete Iliana and Giannis owners||||||I stayed 2 weeks ,the property was empty ,although the website was advertising “ 1 room left “ ||The property has not the beach in front ,there is a slight vu of the sea ,from far away ,going and coming to and from the beach takes 15 minutes one way ||Limited kitchen supply ,1 stove ||The property is quite far from center ,pharmacies ,restaurants and shops ,very tiring to walk and come back and there are streets dogs on your way ,that follow you relentless ||The entry of the property is not locked during the day nor during the night ||I was informed about 1 dog at the property but there were 3 dogs that were loosing hair on the floor….the front and back garden are quite dirty ||The bathroom of my room with musty odor ,in the room ,I was invaded by worms ,spiders ,mosquitos and cockroaches ...and after 7 days I was bitten by one of them and got infected ,my hand was swollen ||No commitment from Iliana or her husband Giannis ..I have lost 3 days in order to find out where can I be seen by a doctor ||At my departure I asked the owner if I can use the toilet ,before the transfer to the airport ,the owner said I can use it if I pay one more day ||The price per day was 35 euros what I paid cash weekly ,when at the end , I asked for the receipt I was told I can have it if I add 5 more euros per day to the sum already paid and to my surprise at the check out I was asked 32 euros more as tourist taxes ( that has not mentioned at the time of our private booking) once more i was...

I decided to reserve this hotel on the recommendation of my friends who were greeted with hospitality and high service in this place. Unfortunately, due to the current situation with COVID - 19, all international flights from my country were canceled, and the strictest quarantine has started in Greece. All my hopes for the journey were over. Hopes to return the money were also low, because, despite the state of emergency in the world, booking.com left the last decision to the hotel owner. To my surprise, this dear and kind woman - the owner of the hotel, contacted me and returned the full amount of the reservation without delay. She explained to me that this is against their beliefs and does not correspond to her nature - to collect money without services, especially in such a difficult time. I look forward to the end of this frightening pandemic and wish both of us to meet soon in this wonderful place. My brother and I are from Canada and visited Malia for 13 days, we planned on staying for 1 month but had a family emergency back home. Illiana and Giannis care about the people who stay here, they really care. If you want to stay in a clean, beautiful place look no further. Iliana and Giannis will have your back at every turn, they will make sure you don't pay too much for things, and give you the best advice about local trips. If you want to relax in your room you can walk outside and grab a well made drink from Giannis at the bar. Illiana cleans the rooms very well, and even washed and dried our clothes when we asked! Their daughter is also someone who shouldn't go unnoticed, she is so friendly. You can expect a cute "Hello!" every time you return to Olympus. 8 guess thays what to expect when you have such amazing parents as role models. This is a family owned property that stays true to family values.
