I don't usually take the time to write bad reviews when I have a bad experience because you never know what someone else is going through but this was exceptionally bad, really left a bad feeling inside me after and I really wish we hadn't eaten there. So I'm hoping the owners read this and make different hiring choices for kinder servers. The food was really good and the chefs deserve better from their team. When you are paying that much for a dinner you expect in the very least that the service staff are polite but we felt really bad after and like we had done something wrong despite trying to stay warm and positive through out. At the end, we had to ask for the bill 3 times and it never came, we finally went inside and got another staff member to settle it for us at the till. I just had an amazing experience. You can tell a lot of thought was put into the menu, as the seafood was some of the best during my stay in Crete. And I visited Crete quite often. What makes this place stand out is that there are no others places like this one. Their menu is not something that you would see at any other restaurant. The food is fresh, and the quantity was more than expected. You get what you paid for when you eat here. The staff here is wonderful and they really care about your dining experience. My wife and I eat very early, so when we came, we were the only ones. It actually was pleasant, and felt like a private dining experience. Other higher end places, need to use this restaurant as an example of how to properly do "fine dining." Thank you to the staff and chefs for a wonderful dinner.
