Special mention to Giannas for staying up to make sure people who go out get back safe and he does this pretty much every night without fail, a lot of respect to him for that. ||Introduction |To start of there was 7 of us on a lads holiday we had 3 rooms between us. All the rooms were clean and tidy when presented to us. The rooms all had ac, yes you do have to pay for it and if I remember it was no more than 50 / 60 euros for it. We were at the hotel for 8 nights in total. Upon arrival we were greeted by Giannis. He is the grandson of the owners of the hotel. He gave us a very warm welcome to the hotel explained everything to us we needed to know. |The grandmother Maria, speaks very little English but from the little I talked to her she seemed very pleasant. Despite what the reviews do say, I would believe this is down to a induvial group of people not respecting the hotel. As long as you were not too loud when coming back from the strip at 6/7am. ||Food / drink|The hotel is cash only from when I visited and the beer on tap is a local beer very nice. The food from the hotel is okay, there is plenty of food options to eat out if you would rather or get a takeaway too. Drinks from the hotel are not expensive either, they have the happy hour for 15 euro for as many cocktails as you can drink and raki is 1 euro a shot. You have Nancy on the bar throughout the day and Giannis is in the evening both of them are lovely. |If you are lucky and get to experience a Greek night it is great fun, all the guests in the hotel (if they want to join) pay 15 euro if I remember this includes food and drink all cooked on the barbecue. This is accompanied by traditional Greek dancing too.||The location |When I was looking on google maps the location does seem a bit skeptical but once you arrive you realize you are not far whatsoever. The closest corner shop was 5–7-minute walk away along with the main strip with all the bars and clubs being no less than 15-20 minutes’ walk. The walk to the hotel is off on its own street away from the main strip which is much nicer I found especially in the day time to be able to enjoy some peace and quiet. It is completely safe the area and you don’t feel out of place whatsoever. ||Conclusion|I would return back for a stay in a heartbeat, not for as long as I don’t think I could manage another holiday of that sorts, but for a phew days in the sun defiantly. |All the guests are super friendly too along with Nancy and Giannis behind the bar so it has a proper family...

Read moreThis has been the worse hotel experience I have ever had. I'm afraid the negative reviews are all true and best to ignore the good ones as we found out these are written by friends of the hotel who were there when we were and FYI they come in June and Sept each year so best to avoid. This group eat and sit with the owner and help themselves behind the bar, all very odd and uncomfortable for other guests.
Best not to expect hot water as we were told off for asking the owner Maria. Her husband recently passed away and she told us not to speak to her anymore as she is 'sad', we were sympathetic to this but this does not excuse her rudeness and if you read back on the poor reviews you will see this is an ongoing issue ,on speaking to her grandson he advised to speak to him but he does not start until 6pm so god forbid you have any questions in the day and a heads up on this would have been useful. He did say they would have preferred to close down but had to honor bookings, strange then that we booked the week before.
Also please ensure not to slam the doors even though this was near on impossible to not do due to the type of doors, my daughter was told off for this by the owner. The owner seems to only cater to her friends and we were ignored in the mornings when sat in the eating area, no offer of coffee or breakfast.
Basically if you want to feel like an unwelcome guest in someone's home then go along! The owner made us feel so uncomfortable to be around the hotel so we chose to be in our rooms when we were there for the most part . The whole experience was uncomfortable and a complete waste of our time and money, I cant explain how much her horrible attitude ruined our holiday. We had hoped for a lovely family feel hotel but instead this hotel lacks the basics you would expect, limited hot water, no assistance during the day, rudeness from the owner.
The only redeeming feature for this hotel is her grandson who works the bar, he really tried his best to be friendly and is a great asset, it was clear he is aware of the issues with the owner and is trying his best to manage this, we went along based on the good reviews and unfortunately did not read the bad ones, I have never written a review before but felt very strongly that guests should be made aware of this hotel.
All in all I would advise anyone considering booking to check if the owner is still working there next season and give it a...
