Itilo Hotel Ξενοδοχείο — Hotel in Municipality of East Mani

I stayed 8 days two years in a row at the Itilo Hotel.

This place is an absolute gem. Surroundings are truly relaxing. Direct access to a sandy beach (which is rare in Mani), lovely bay, stunning views of the ragged Taygetus mountain range all around. Such a quiet and enchanting environment.

Family-run, owner and family are very professional and attentive. Breakfast buffet is insanely varied and tasty.

I stayed there twice towards the end of August. I was literally on my own on the beach!

I didn't have a car. It's not that far from Athens, there are direct coaches between Kifisou station and Areopoli. Once at Areopoli bus station, just grab a taxi to the hotel, it's 5-10 minutes away. Also, 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel, you can have dinner at some of Neo Itilo restaurants.

On a final note: I once had to go to see a doctor for a minor ailment. The owner drove me to the GP practice in Areopoli and waited with me until I was seen. Exceptional...

My stay at Hotel Itilo was fantastic and I cannot recommend it enough. From the setting to the service, it was all so perfect!||||The hotel is found in front of the mountains with a lovely pool area, where I felt like I was in a lovely oasis. The pool was crystal clear and with comfortable loungers, I was happy to spend my time relaxing at the pool area. I also felt that the whole hotel complex, including the room and common areas were clean and well cared for, and there was attention to detail in ensuring guest comfort.||||What's most clear about this hotel is the high-quality service provided by all the staff. The service was very friendly, attentive and they were really keen to welcome me to the hotel. The food was good and fresh and there were options to suit all tastes.||||Hotel Itilo offered a very high quality and relaxing experience and is a hidden gem. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and wouldn't think twice about booking...

Wir sind gerade zurück von 2 Wochen wunderbarem Urlaub im Hotel Itilo. Die guten Bewertungen haben nicht zu viel versprochen. Das Hotel verspricht erholsamen Urlaub in familiärer Atmosphäre. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Das Hotel im maniotischen Steinhaus-Stil gebaut strahlt griechisches Lebensgefühl aus. Die Zimmer sind modern, insbesondere die schönen Bäder haben uns positiv überrascht. Die „normale“ Suite ist sicher auch ausreichend. Die kleineren Zimmer habe ich nicht gesehen, mir wären sie wohl zu klein. Wir haben es genossen, dass das Hotel keine Musikbeschallung oder „Unterhaltung“ bot. Die Ruhe und die Entspannung waren umso größer. Wer „Hully Gully“ sucht ist im Hotel Itilo und im Ort Neo Itilo fehl am Platz. ||Frühstück war sehr gut. Natürlich wie immer im Süden sehr viel Süßes, insbesondere selbstgemachte Kuchen, aber auch herzhaftes wie Wurst, Käse, Oliven, Eierspeisen. Traumhaft die Tomaten, die wirklich nach Sonne schmeckten. Wenn etwas fehlte, wurde sofort schnell nachgeliefert. Allenfalls dass es erst ab 8 Uhr Frühstück gab, war für uns Frühaufsteher und Ausflügler gewöhnungsbedürftig war. Aber auf Wunsch wurde am Abend ein Frühstückspaket mit Keksen, Kuchen und belegtem Toast vorbereitet. Einfach fragen !||Abendessen war im Restaurant durchgehend möglich. Kleine aber feine Karte, alles war sehr gut. Auch fangfrischer Fisch wird angeboten. Im Ort sind weitere Tavernen, falls man Abwechslung sucht.||Wir fanden es schön, dass man bis Mitternacht Getränke bekam, aber auch nicht gedrängt wurde etwas zu bestellen, wenn man als Hotelgast einfach draußen sitzen wollte. Das Hotel hat eine sehr schöne Poolanlage mit ausreichend Liegen und Schirmen und einem für die Größe des Hotels ausreichend großem Pool. Was für uns ungewohnt war, aber keinesfalls störte: der Pool war für Gruppen von außerhalb buchbar, wir haben das aber nur einmal erlebt und wie gesagt, es störte nicht.||Zwischen Hotel und Meer verläuft ein absolut nicht störende Straße; auch direkter Strandzugang ist möglich, allerdings ist der Strand hier sehr schmal. Der Strand von Neo Itilo selbst ist über die Straße in knapp 5 min. zu Fuß erreichbar. An diesem öffentlichen Strand stehen Liegen kostenlos zur Verfügung von den dahinter liegenden Lokalen, die es gerne sehen, wenn man Getränke oder kleine Snacks bei ihnen konsumiert. Badetücher werden vom Hotel kostenlos gestellt.||Hervorheben möchten wir die familiäre Atmosphäre im ganzen Haus: angefangen vom Chef des Hauses, Theodor, über Maria an der Rezeption, bis zum Ober Boris, der uns perfekt betreute und uns ein Gefühl des Willkommen seins gab. Der Chef spricht auch sehr gut deutsch und gibt Tipps für Ausflüge. Danke auch an die Damen in der Küche. Und liebe Grüße an die...
