We had booked a room for the weekend at Irtakina Rooms in Sougia, but when my friend arrived, he was told the room had been given to someone else because he arrived “too late”—despite trying to call multiple times earlier with no answer.

This is not the first time something like this has happened with this place. In the past, our reservation was canceled because they found someone who wanted to book for more nights.

After entering the building, a man started talking to us without introducing himself as the owner, so we were confused. It was inconvenient for us to pay in cash, but that was the only payment accepted. The room had many mosquitoes. The bed had a firm mattress and there was hair on the sheet. There was also hair on the shower drain. There was no toilet paper holder, and the paper was set on a high shelf which was awkward to reach from the toilet.
