I have been there in June 2018. It is a very nice place to stay. The place is ran by Antonio. a Italian who bought the hotel and provided it with a new name and redecorated all. His shef and most of the team is Italian and they are providing fantastic service. The food is amazing. The hotel serves fantastic Greek meals by adding some extra from the Italian cuisine. The pasta is fantastic.||The hotel is clean and rooms are serviced every day. There is no safe in the rooms but If you need one it is located by the reception. Also a good size pool with a bar is available.||There is a short walk of 15 min to the sandy beach where you can find beds with umbrellas and sowers.||The town is just a short walk from the hotel with a lots of restaurants, pubs and a few shops. L’hotel, che si trova in una posizione fantastica ed è pure molto bello architettonicamente parlando, non dispone di sufficiente personale per cui l’organizzazione generale risulta assai lacunosa. Tuttavia, il poco, ma gentilissimo e super disponibile personale presente, coi mezzi a disposizione, fa il possibile (e l’impossibile) per rendere il soggiorno piacevole ai propri clienti, ma ciò, purtroppo, non basta. Leggendo, prima di partire, le ottime recensioni assegnate alla cucina, ad esempio, pensavo di trovarmi di fronte a una cucina eccezionale, invece… una delusione totale: i cibi proposti sono sempre i soliti, mai pesce, pur essendo in Grecia. Nessuna pietanza tipica (souvlaki, giros, burek,…) ma solo pollo fritto o al forno (sembrava piuttosto bollito), costine (anche queste sembravano bollite) e sempre le stesse insalate o verdure, riproposte ogni sacrosanta sera. Per dessert sempre anguria e mini baklave. Stop. Almeno a colazione c’era lo yogurt greco. Pensavo ci fosse un servizio al tavolo invece è tutto self service, con bibite erogate dalla macchinetta. Pur avendo la mezza pensione mi sono recata più volte nelle taverne di Arkasa per mangiare piatti tipici greci. L’intrattenimento serale pressoché nullo: solo il gentile proprietario che faceva karaoke e cantava lui stesso, cercando di coinvolgere gli ospiti (al max tre/quattro persone per sera) sul fantastico terrazzo, purtroppo mal sfruttato. In piscina non c’era mai nessuno. Se si chiede un aperitivo di rientro dalla spiaggia, ad esempio, non lo si può avere perché il bar apre solo alle 20:00 (ma dalle 19:30 inizia il servizio cena). Il servizio di trasferimento per la spiaggia c’è unicamente al mattino alle 9:30 (da notare che la colazione è solo fino alle 9:30) e al pomeriggio alle 14:30. Si potrebbero estendere gli orari, a mio avviso, facendo più corse. Aspetti positivi: il bellissimo tramonto che si gode dai terrazzini delle camere e la pulizia generale delle camere. Il mobilio, tuttavia, andrebbe rinnovato: la maniglia del mio armadio era rotta, non c’è una presa per l’elettricità in bagno; in dotazione c’è un phone per capelli situato nel cassetto della scrivania, ma che non si può appunto attaccare in bagno; l’unità esterna del climatizzatore posto sul terrazzo colma di ruggine e perdente acqua. Inoltre non viene detto, prima della scelta dell’hotel, che non si può buttare la carta nel wc, ma bisogna gettare la carta igienica usata per pulirsi nel cestino. Fa un po’ specie la cosa, ma tant’è… Mi è capitato pure di dover sfoderare un cuscino e trovarlo giallo e macchiato di sangue. Confesso che, leggendo talune bellissime e positive recensioni dell’anno passato e quelle di ancora prima, sono rimasta basita nel trovarmi di fronte a tutto questo.
