I have just returned from my third visit to this hotel. The welcome was as warm as ever and nothing is too much trouble. Family owned with the feel of a house party. Relaxing with light entertainment from the resident tortoises and cat with her three adorable kittens! Guests are left to do as they wish but there is always someone there if any kind of help is required. Like us there were guests returning for the second, third and even fifth time. The guests are mainly independent travellers from Greece, the UK with a smattering from Scandinavia and Germany, so a great mix. the pool is fab and with two beaches within a 10 minute walk and several family owned excellent traditionally Greek tavernas literally 100 paces from the hotel it is ideal for anyone particularly those wanting a lazy holiday. It is also very suitable for those with limited mobility with serveal ground floor rooms and a short level walk to restaurants and bars. All rooms have their own cooking facilities and large balconies. I am planning to have my 60th birthday there with family and friends next year and Stavroula is already planning activities for everyone! A real...
Read moreWonderful hotel. Kind owners, very helpful, gave a lot of tips for places to go.
The pool is clean and large. It isn't overrun and feels private, when ordering drinks they are served ice cold and include small snacks.
One of the owners even brought us, without asking, a free snack platter with fresh fruits, really thoughtful.
In general the hotel and town isn't overrun by tourists. It feels cozy here.
Rooms are clean, water pressure good enough, air conditioning good, balcony large enough. There is also parking for hotel guests.
Breakfast costs 6€ and is good. Variety is sufficient, but not overwhelming. After a while I felt like exploring other places for breakfast as well.
The only minor downsides are that the internet isn't super duper high speed and the TV is small. Lastly, it can get loud at times from the bugs within the bushes outside of the hotel. This is typical for Crete and just nature.
These things aren't really too important though, so I can only...
Read moreWe stayed here a week ago and it was absolutely lovely. The owners are professional, fully bilingual (Greek/English), and very knowledgeable. They provided valuable information about the surrounding area (e.g. restaurants, wineries, things to do/see off the beaten path), which made our stay in Kissamos all the more enjoyable.||The hotel is centrally located with all the amenities: AC, showers, towels, mini-fridge, and extra pillows. ||Both the hotel and the rooms were very clean and quiet; even though we were on the side of the hotel facing the road, and I'm a very light sleeper, we weren't disturbed by traffic noise at night.||They also offer a great value breakfast--5 Euros for a wide variety of sweet and savoury foods, which we ate every morning!||We will definitely be coming back on our next visit to Crete....
