I travel a lot, and I've never had problems such as here. The apartment would be okay IF the owners were not completely unprofessional.

I do NOT recommend staying here in winter or paying beforehand, nor more generally given the lack of (customer) friendliness. It is incredibly cold in winter, and there is no heating. The heaters in the picture are purely decorative. They give one (not particularly thick) blanket and you have to try to heat with the AC, which is very weak in producing any heat. We were planning for a 14-days holiday, but after not being able to sleep (with pulovers, serveral layers and jackets on!) the first night and being cold in the second (downgraded) room they offered, we simply could not stay any longer. And that's when the "nice" people became unresponsive and selfish.

They charged me the full amount for the 2 weeks plus the money for an extra person (as aligned beforehand) the first night, when we had just gotten to the apartment and they said "it'll warm up, don't you worry". The second day, they cancelled my Booking.com booking as a "no-show" (?!). And then refused to reimburse me for the nights not slept there (even though I had paid 110EUR just for a third person, on top of the booking price), even though the apartment was too cold, which I complained about multiple times, and even though I offered to offset any other costs they might have incurred, and I did tell them the second morning that we will be leaving because we cannot possibly stay there and freeze. Oh they did offer an electric "heater", which would send the whole electric system into blackout (yes we did turn off the AC inverter and even lights) and was thus absolutely useless.

My cancellation fee should have been only 195EUR if I did cancel "late" (less than 5 days before the booking) - but they kept far more from me! Now they're saying they'll refund me 200EUR "from the goodness of their hearts" - which is clearly less than what they took from me. And it's not even like I booked a place they couldn't sell anymore - they didn't have other customers, not that many people come to Crete in Winter.

Excellent location close to beach and with shops and restaurants near by. Also handy for buses to airport and town. The owner has a nearby shop and meets you with genuine warmth. The property is a ground floor apartment in a residential block so you hear people getting up and going to work but then the building quietens down and is peaceful. There is a small patio but it adjoins the rear carpark serving the building so it is not the most attractive of settings. The apartment is very clean and tidy. There are two T.V.'s, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. Air-conditioning is included at no extra charge, there is a washing machine, and the kitchen area is well equipped. Checkout at 12.00hrs is a bonus. If you want a good value snack/meal while on the beach try The Havana, close to apartment. We would book again and again...

The apartment is very comfortable and beautifully furnished and equipped with everything necessary for preparing a meal or just a coffee. The hosts are leaving the products (as ham, cheese, eggs, milk, juice, water) for the breakfast at the refrigerator and coffee capsules, tea, croissants on the kitchen shelves as well.
