Philoxenia Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Milopotamos

Our fourth time staying at these amazing apartments. A lovely family business managed by caring people. Mannolis is the manager on site and is ever so helpful with whatever you need. The cleaning staff are efficient and friendly. We only stayed for a week this time but our apartment was cleaned three times in that period and good quality bedding and towels changed twice. Apartments are basic but sufficient for breakfasts and making lunch if you require. So many restaurants and cafes to choose from just a stroll away so we eat out every evening. Apartments are so close to the beaches and harbour and shops, all within an easy stroll away. The pool is a good size and lots of sun beds. The area is regularly washed down and kept spotless. It is amazing how they manage all of this at such a bargain price! Regular contact by email from Nikos so you know where you are up to with your holiday. You have option to cancel just prior to travelling, although their COVID policy allows a full refund if this is the reason for cancellation. Thank you to all the staff. We will see...

The good stuff. The room and the facilities were good for the price and place. It also had a nice pool and view. The room was also very clean. Now the bad parts. It was noisy in the morning. Zero sound proofing. In the morning I couldn't hear every conversation from outside and the maids were pretty chaty. Maybe it was the fact that I didn't follow the program of a typical customer (I visit Crete to attend a marriage so the nights were busy). We also run out of toilet paper twice in a 4 night stay. What an absolute find.
