Geronymos — Restaurant in Municipality of Milopotamos

Panormos is really full of great places to eat, and Geronymos is certainly among them. A traditional family taverna with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. We were holidaying in a large family group, so we made a reservation the night before we wanted to come as we had noticed on previous nights walking through the lane how busy and popular it was. Our table was in the alley which was a pretty spot with grape vines growing over. The service was attentive but not rushed, the house rose was delicious and the food was really delicious. We ordered a large selection of appetisers so we could try different dishes (zucchini fritti, tzatziki, tomato cucumber salad, vine leaves) and then our main dishes included moussaka, pork, souvlaki, spaghetti for the kids). Family restaurant and you can taste it. We tried 4 different dishes and starters and all was extraordinary and delicious - and also simple, because you get just meat and side, like rice, spaghetti, french frites. If you like, you can order some salads etc, but if you want to feel taste of meat or another dish, try to taste it one by one and not mix. At the end you get some dessert. We were happy to get chocolate cake - it was perfectly prepared and on of the best we ever tried (and we tried a lot if good restaurants and 5stars hotels). Must visit. Can't say enough good things about this place. The food is the best we've had so far, by far. And that's saying something because all of the food has been phenomenal. We had the pastaccio the first night and my goodness, so good. We went back the next day after a long day of hiking Samaria Gorge and were recommended the stiffado (a beef and onion ragu). My husband and I hate onions and still tried it (with rice to soak up all that delicious sauce) and we cleaned the bowl it was so divine. We've been torn to try new places now or to keep going back because we know how fantastic it is. It will be a place we'll remember and long for when were back...
