We really enjoyed our week at Iliana during the end of September 2023. The most kind and helpful people working there really made us feel welcome in all manners from the first greetings to the last goodbyes. The hotel is clean, quiet, everything works and still it is right in the middle of Panormo town. This is not a 5 star luxury resort and it isn't trying to be one. It is a family run small traditional Greek hotel, where all the luxury amenities are not available, the toilet fan might make some noise and sheets and towels are not changed every day - but it doesn't matter, because of the warmth and welcoming feeling you get. Me and my wife managed to got a small flu while staying here - not the hotels fault in any way - and while we were recovering we were just enjoying the wide bed and peaceful quietness of this place. We even were let to keep the room until our very late departure for a minor extra cost which really helped us plan our last day. Top notch place to stay. Loved it!

I'm staying in this family-run hotel for a two-week holiday. The owners were really helpful before our arrival with some arrangments. The hotel itself is a charming spot with a cool pool, beautiful flowers and comfortable rooms. What's more it's close to three beaches, shops and lovely taverns. There is an well-equipped kichenette and air-conditioning works sufficiently. I love the tranquility of the spot and how relaxed it is - it is really an advantage as I'm travelling with my older relative who has been recovering from an injury. The cleaning staff is hard-working and attentive. The breakfast is decent and although the choice is limited there are always some new tasty pastries. The owner gave us some tips about places to eat out and they were really good and dining there was a real pleasure. In a nutshell, the hotel is a perfect place for a relaxing holiday.

If you get a chance of this holiday - book it quickly! The 2 star status is underated. These rooms are immaculately clean and modern. The hotel is beautifully kept with a stunning central square with small pool and plenty of sunbeds and plants. It’s romantic in its setting and perfect for couples. The resort is not touristy, it is a small fishing village, but there are plenty of places to eat and shop. We’ve stopped here twice and would happily come again (both times in October). Nothing is too much trouble and the owners are lovely. Thank you for another wonderful stay.

We booked this hotel due the multitude of 5 star reviews - I don’t think it warrants a 5 star review personally but let’s remember that this hotel is a 2 star establishment and it is a very good 2 star place. ||Starting with the positives:||The location is fantastic right in the middle of the village and close to restaurants, supermarkets and the beach.||The breakfast is wonderful - fresh bread, breadsticks, cheese, ham, boiled eggs, veg, Greek yoghurt, honey, cereal, hot food and pastries plus tea, coffee and juice.||The one bed apartment we had was large with plenty of storage and comfortable beds. Bins emptied every day.||The hotel was small, friendly and quiet which aided a great nights sleep. ||And now the negatives:||The towel changes are meant to be every 3 days but we waited 5 on one occasion and had to ask. In my opinion towels should be changed on request or every 2 days at least. ||The pool and sunbed area is small so often there were no beds available. ||The balcony on our room was small as was the kitchenette area. ||Breakfast was often very busy with a wait for a table or then a queue for the excellent but slow coffee machine. ||Some of the rooms have shared balconies which isn’t disclosed - in my opinion these rooms should be charged less for. We got assigned one on our late arrival and the following morning we requested a room change which was given after a bit of a discussion!||The showers are typically Greek and cannot be held up on the wall so you have to hold it in your hand and end up soaking the floor! ||All in all we had a lovely holiday - we hired a car from the place opposite and visited many tourist places much cheaper than the organised tours. ||In the village we enjoyed many restaurants with favourites being Locus Deli, Maki’s and Geronymous.||We found Panormos a bit too small for 2 weeks but enjoyed the quaintness of the village.||There is a lovely dog on the property next door who we bought tennis balks for and played with him daily. I’d be grateful if others could...

A wonderful little hotel hidden away in the town of Panormos in Crete. We were in a room right by the pool with a little terrace furnished with a table and chairs overlooking the pool. Whilst we we there (mid July) it was fairly quiet, an oasis of calm where we could sit with a glass of something chilled before making our way out for our evening meal. The room itself was spotless with the most enormous superking bed. The air con was really quiet and very effective, we did nt have it on throughout the night as the room was quickly chilled. The ensuite bathroom was quintessentially Greek with bins emptied daily by the wonderful cleaning ladies. The kitchenette was hardly used by us but was well provisioned for 3 people and spotlessly clean. We ate breakfast in the hotel - 8 euros for hot drinks, juice, toast, cold meats and hot food (bacon, eggs, sometimes little omelettes) and various bakery items, all delicious. Eleftheria, on the front desk and often on breakfast duty was so kind and welcoming and I must mention the wonderful Andreas who was an absolute mine of information about the local area and was incredibly helpful to us. Indeed we met nothing but kindness and warmth from all staff at this hotel. On our final day we had a late transfer but were able to leave our cases at reception and to use the pool and restroom facilities (there is a shower in the restroom). Panormos itself is lovely, with wonderful craft shops (we brought back some handmade pottery from Virtuosity and olive oil, honey and raki from local shops). The beaches in the town are a delight, our favourite because it had sun loungers (10 euros for 2 beds and 1 brolly) and also a beach bar, was towards the west of the town, approximately 5 mins from the hotel. Indeed all 3 beaches were just minutes from the hotel. All are sandy and safe. Eating out was a pleasure. Our favourite was Steki, a more traditional taverna (dates from 1948). We only came for a week but we will return and will certainly be staying at the...

What a delightful pace . This hotel is very Greek , it's clean , comfortable and quirky. Not recommended for people with walking difficulties, too many stairs and trip hazards .We had a 1 bed apartment, the double / king is two singles pushed together not uncomfortable.TV in bedroom picks up netflix , sky news .The kitchen is very well equipped, the oven is only a small counter job . There's no chopping board? But the village provides all the eating out you need two outstanding ones Locus being one . Great bakery ! |The shower / bathroom is small and basic , but it does the job .|The pool area is quiet and relaxing ,comfy sunbeds and umbrellas, the pool is unheated and not suitable for small children without an adult . 3 beaches in walking distance, one offers beds &| umbrella's .|Now info for TUI customers.... Your holiday is cheap because of the night flights , we flew from Manchester and arrived here at 1.30am , brutal!! |Check out time is 11am , you have the use of the pool / sunbathing area , there's two showers / toilets down at reception you can use and seating if needed indoors . We asked if we could keep our rooms for longer aswell as other guests, the answer is no it's booked . This is untrue we saw rooms vacated and not cleaned or occupied for two days ! I was also informed you could pay an extra day , not in our case . Look on Booking.com prices are very reasonable inline with UK budget hotels . Our pickup time was 8.20 pm , it's a long day to hang about . |All in all ,yes I would stay here again , loved the village , local bus services. But I would organise my own travel and transfers , I'm sure I can match or...
