What a phenomenal stay. Firstly, the property itself is remote but alluring and captivating in its beauty. Set apart from the quaint village of Pollonia nestled below (a quick five to seven minute stroll into town) lies paradise. The stunning Milos Breeze boasts the best service we encountered on our four week European trip, easily surmounting the hospitality of every other stay, rendering it the perfect end to our holiday. Service always came with a smile and an ask of whether we needed anything to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. Within minutes, any reception buzz was responded to by an expeditious tap at the door with whatever little thing we requested, no matter how trivial it seemed to us. It was never a problem despite how frequently we called. The attention to detail was unparalleled with constant poolside service, a fresh, Grecian lunch on the alfresco, delicious al la carte breakfast options on top of the buffet with daily changes to the meals offered. Though the buffet selection was small, it was certainly high in quality and taste. A special mention to the hot pies alternating on a daily basis. I would highly advise ordering the Cretan tomato egg scramble and their made-to-order omelettes.
Our amazing experience was enhanced by the free upgrades we received as we visited during a quieter season, from a standard room to a room with a oceanview balcony, and then finally on our last day to a suite with a private pool and views of the Mediterranean ocean. The rooms were both furnished and finished immaculately - simple and elegant with a focus on natural materials and a calm, earthy palette. The property’s two infinity edge pools, one heated, afforded a refreshing swim as we soaked in views of Pollonia and beyond. The small fitness room, equipped with a dumbbell rack, treadmill, bike and small weights multi-purpose machine was more than adequate and even boasted serene views of the Mediterranean, making my daily morning workouts the perfect start to each day. My only wish was to try out the various spa treatments and massages, but our time here was short. The reception were expeditious to organise any transfers and ATV hires to arranged with zero fuss and stress on our part. Not to mention the fact that their excellent restaurant recommendations resulted in delicious dinners too. After a day of exploring the island, it was always a delight to return to a clean room with a little gift or sweet on our fresh, bed sheets. It was unequivocally clear that the staff take a vested interest in every guest, accomodating every need. It’s a passion that is palpable from the moment you step foot at Milos Breeze. Every day was a pinch-me moment. The boutique hotel screams intimacy, luxury and simplicity - perfect for honeymooners and families alike. A must stay. 10/10 experience. Thank you to the amazing team and manager who made our stay simply unforgettable. I can’t...
Read moreI did a lot of research before our 2 week Greece trip and was so excited for this hotel, we splurged to stay here and unfortunately it was pretty disappointing. The hotel itself is picturesque (nice pool with view) but service and hospitality is lacking quite a bit. Rooms were ok- definitely not what I think to be luxury, but clean.
The biggest issue for us is was the service at check out -the night prior we had let the front desk know our ferry home left the next morning at 11:30 and to arrange a cab so we could get to the port. They advised leaving at 11 would be plenty of time. We showed up promptly with our bags at 11 and they said we don’t have a car for you. They also then proceeded to point the finger at us saying they would never advise 11, and more so like an hour ahead of time. I specifically raised this concern the night before as I have been to Greece many times and know how crazy the ferry situation can be and was still told 11 would be the best option. When they realized the issue the rushed to call us a cab but at this point it was cutting it too close and they honestly made it seem like this was our fault - no apologies. Needless to say, we missed our ferry so we are now out $$ for both the ferry ticket and hotel for the evening that was pre-booked. You would think they would offer some sort of compensation for this very big mistake and at the very least and apology but no. Manos is was very quick to blame us for their mistake after wrongly advising. Very unprofessional and lacking any empathy.
Another hiccup that we tried to just look past, we booked through our AMEX platinum and when we checked in the manager told us our room was a “flex” and they made us change our room every day even though we were told they would try to prevent this. I have never heard of a hotel doing this so beware of this before booking.
Also to note this hotel is in Pollonia but it’s not a pleasant walk to get out of the hotel, it’s a dirt road with no lighting or sidewalk to get down to the road.
You also have to make a reservation just to eat breakfast, seems odd that a hotel at this price point won’t allow you to go with the flow and have breakfast at your leisure on holiday when you wake and must be prior reserved. Food is just ok- very underwhelming. You will find other hotels have much higher quality homemade breakfast buffets that are more authentically Greek and much tastier.
Overall, for the $$ (600+ a night) I would expect much more service and attention to detail. We have stayed at other boutique hotels in Greece for much less $$ and have been treated so much better by people who genuinely care.

Read moreGood hotel with the potential to be great! Pretty, minimally decorated surroundings and very friendly and attentive staff. We stayed in the honeymoon suite w/private plunge pool for the first 3 nights of our stayed and moved to another room on the final night due to availability. Unfortunately, it was so windy that we couldn't use our private plunge pool at all (not heated). When booking, we were trying to decide between Milos Breeze and Melian Boutique Hotel and Spa - and we went with Milos because the private pool looked a lot nicer compared to Melian's private hot tubs. In retrospect, we could have gotten use out of a hot tub. Because of the location of Milos on a hill, you get very strong gusts of wind that means the outdoor areas aren't very usable or enjoyable. Also, noting the location on the hill - it is a very easy 5ish minute walk to the restaurants and main part of town, but the only way to access it is on the steep, partially unpaved driveway. You would think that a nicer hotel would create some sort of easy access for their guests to talk into town (stairs along the driveway perhaps?). Staff was amazingly friendly and willing to help, the attention to detail could just be improved a bit. We asked for assistance booking a car for one day, and were given the option of a "Jeep" for 15 Euro additional a day, with the impression given it would be a rambler-type open vehicle that we thought would be fun for a day. We ended up receiving a larger SUV. Perhaps a translation error. We also asked for help with booking a boat tour and when we asked for details on where the half-day tour went, the answer was "South". No locations or details. The point of a concierge service is to make things easier and perhaps more detailed than you could Google yourself. A final note on attention to detail - I ordered a fresh squeezed orange juice, and they offered to bring it to our patio (very nice!)....it was served warm with no ice in it. Just a little something, but I offer up this detail because the appearances of this hotel are very nice - just a little more focus on the details could make it amazing! Also, they had a very nice breakfast spread with traditional sweet and savory offerings, eggs, any order of coffee...
