The room was nice. It says "Deluxe Suite", but it was in fact a single room with a balcony, but that was ok for one night with two young children in tow.||||The views down to the sea are lovely, and in the run up to and during our stay the host, Manos, was very accommodating, offering to pick us up from the port and even giving us a choice of two rooms (we chose the view over more room).||||However, one issue that was flagged after we'd gained access to the room was that the hot tub pumps did not work. I wasn't present when my wife was informed of this, and if I had been I would have taken some issue with it as it is sold as, and is, a key feature of the room package. I would have expected the hotel to provide some sort of mitigation around this, instead it was just mentioned and my wife was told she could still use it as the water was clean (it's not the same though, is it?).||||Anyway, I was willing to overlook this as the room was nice, the adjoining swimming pool and bar (not part of Villa Elina) were good and useful given that breakfast is not provided at the property, and we had a pleasant one-night stay.||||However, after posting a positive review on Booking, com (where we'd booked the room) with an aggregate 7.5 out of 10 rating - and not mentioning the hot tub or any other minor negative points, only the positives - I received a flurry of aggrieved messages via WhatsApp from the host, Manos, complaining about the score, being generally indignant, and asking me to remove the review.||||This is thoroughly unprofessional behaviour - trying to game the ratings system - and has left a rather sour note to what was an otherwise lovely holiday to Greece.||||There's nothing wrong with the accommodation, and the views are great, but I'd advise other holidaymakers to be aware of this sort...
Read moreWe booked a night, and we were supposed to come from Tinos Island.
Unfortunately, our ferry boat planned at 9.30 pm was canceled, without notice us. I was chatting between 9.15 pm and 9.45 pm with an employee of the hotel, who confirm us any boat was coming to the Island. Thus, he knew perfectly the situation.
I ve asked him to cancel the reservation and to refund us, because of the extraordinary situation.
As the first step, they say any refund is possible. As a second step, they propose us a voucher, but I never plan to go to Mykonos. Because I ve asked them an invoice in order to try to be refund by my insurance compagny, they tell us the voucher will be not available .
They do not care about the customer at all, and should find a solution more equity. To be more accurate, this night was planned on November, I mean the hotel was not...
Read moreExcellent boutique hotel in a top location, just above Mykonos town but away from the noise and crowds. The views were even better than the pictures. The room was really comfortable, every detail has been thought of. We took a transfer from the airport and it was really smooth. The owner gave us some great recommendations which were all spot on. The beach is just 5 min walk away, really nice. The hotel pool next door was also a big and unexpected plus. As long as you order something you can use it. Limnios resuarant next door was outstanding and also Nosotros down by the beach. We wished we have stayed longer than the 4 nights. You don't need a car to stay there but if you want to see some highlights around the island, it's a good idea. Another tip, try the early morning hike from the hotel to the lighthouse, just 5 km,...
