A quiet beach near the New Port. Not very touristy and busy. Cabanas, umbrella and chairs on the left of the beach infront of a resturant. The rest of the beach was free with little shade. We didn't need the shade as thee breeze and water made the 30 degree heat refreshing. Besides your own transport you can catch the SeaBus to Newport for €2 then walk on the side of the road over the hill for 15mins. (Becareful of cars etc) or catch the bus from Old Port with the timetable shown. A great local beach, little waves but does get exciting when the wake of ferries past. There are no lockers but not needed. A nearby market with basic essentials. Lifeguard supervised.

Spent some time here mid July. It is not crowded like other beaches around Mykonos. Plenty of room to lay a towel down for free. I don’t understand why anyone would waste €30 for a sun-bed, unless it goes towards the restaurant tab. There is a life guard on duty during the day. He blows his whistle and tells people to come out for 5 minutes as there’s a big wave coming. 10 minutes passed and we still did not see a wave. Maybe coming from Australia I actually expected to see a huge wave. They must have different definitions of what’s big here. The sand can sting your skin when it gets windy and blown against your skin. A couple of restaurants and a mini mart nearby. It would be nice if there was a clean up of the area. A lot of litter.

Small beach, easily accessible by old port bus (about 5 mins away). Beach is sandy and open to lay towels down and relax without any fee. Alternatively, you may rent sun beds on the far end of the beach. My friend and I opted to bring beach towels and chill directly on the sand. Not sure if it was just today’s weather, but the wind was extremely strong and would pick up the granules of sand, hitting our bodies. It was a little painful and felt like tiny pieces of glass hitting the skin. With the sand flying around, it got everywhere covering our bodies, towels, and other items with piles of sand. The sand was not too rocky, though, and is nice to walk on.

____________ Agios Stefanos is one of the most beautiful and quietest sandy beaches on Mykonos. It is located just outside Mykonos Town near the Old Harbour and can be described as an insider's tip, as it is not overrun by tourists. It is easy to reach by bus - there is a bus stop in the immediate vicinity. A small supermarket and various tavernas with a very nice view and ambience as well as good Greek food are also nearby - I particularly recommend Nosotros, which serves some of the best food on Mykonos (detailed review in my profile). The beach is clean, you can rent sunbeds or make yourself comfortable on your own towel. Moreover, the beach is very well maintained and there is a lifeguard, too. The only small drawback for some people may be the sand, which can sometimes fly into your face when the winds are stronger.

Awesome sandy beach with a few facilities including a restaurant, toilets and sunbeds. It's possible to rent sunbeds for the day. At the Saint Stefanos Cafe, it's €10 per bed. This beach is perfect if you're visiting Mykonos for the day on a cruise (as we were) if you dock in the Tourlos Mykonos New Port. It's a 15 minute walk, however 5-10 mins of walking is up a shallow hill. Don't be put off by having to walk on the side of the road to get there. It's perfectly safe and drivers will slow down once they see you.

Wonderful beach if you arrive in Mykonos from a cruise. You can reach the beach in 10 minutes walking up the street from the port. The staff at the bar is very friendly and helpful. The chairs are comfortable. The water is beautiful, clear and blue. When the ferry boat passes in front of the beach it gets really wavy and it is a little dangerous to swim, but it only passes once an hour or so. The beach gets really busy around lunch time, do it is better to arrive early to get a good chair.
