We came here for dinner last night, and the food was very good and tasty. We had the fried calamari with the Greek salad and some bread as a starter. For the main course, we ordered the mixed grill platter for two.
Unfortunately, it wasnât as traditional as the waiter had advertised. Every little extra was charged, including the bread. We also ordered some additional tzatziki, since the grill platter, while tasty, was a bit dry and monotonous with just meat and a few French fries. Without the starter, the platter for two would have been quite small â from Greek restaurants, youâd usually expect something different.
We didnât order dessert, as it felt like almost every country was represented on the menu but there were hardly any traditional Greek desserts available. As a farewell, there wasnât even an ouzo, which you would normally expect â thatâs usually a traditional touch ;)
All in all, the price-performance ratio was rather expensive for a Greek taverna, and unfortunately, it really feels aimed...
Read moreUnfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The food was mediocre at best, lacking flavor and creativity, which was not what I expected given the positive reviews I had read beforehand.
What really soured my visit was the customer service. After leaving the restaurant, I realized I had forgotten my sunglasses at the table. I called back within 15 minutes, hoping to retrieve them, but the staff's response was not reassuring. They seemed uninterested in helping me and at first they confirmed that they found brown sunglasses ( which was the colour of my sunglasses) then quickly claimed they didnât find anything. It left me with the unsettling feeling that my sunglasses might have been found but not returned.
I would have appreciated a more thorough and considerate approach to resolving the issue. This experience made me question how they handle customer belongings and left me disappointed with their overall service. I hope they can work on improving both their food quality and customer service...
Read moreOur dining experience at Limnios Tavern was nothing short of spectacular, and a visit here should be on every food loverâs list when in the area! The star of our evening was our waitress, Dimitra, whose warm and attentive service made us feel like locals. Her recommendations were absolutely spot-on, starting with the fish roe spread, which paired divinely with the garlic breadâtruly a match made in heaven.
The mussels, infused with a hint of fennel, were a revelation; so flavorful that we savored every bite. But the real showstopper was the lamb chops. Cooked to perfection on a charcoal BBQ in the kitchen, they were so delicious that we couldnât resist ordering another whole plate.
The atmosphere at Limnios Tavern is authentically local and incredibly friendly. Despite being the only tourists there, we felt right at home. Tucked away off the beaten path, Limnios Tavern is a hidden gem that offers a genuine taste of local cuisine and hospitality. Donât miss out on this extraordinary...
