FILIPPA STUDIOS — Hotel in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

We just returned from Naxos where we stayed at the Filiipa studios on Plaka Beach.||We stayed in an appartement for five person with two large bedrooms, one bathroom and a small kitchen. There were two terraces. One in the shadow where we could have breakfast or lunch, another one where we could enjoy the sunset, when returning from the beach.||The appartment was cleaned up evvery day and remained squeaky clean from the first to the last day of our stay there.||It was well equipped with air conditioning, hair drye,free internet access, and nicely and tastefully decorated.||The appartement was well located at the end of the plaka beach, right in front of the beach, where you can rent umbrellas if you wish. There are two water sports club within walking distance where you can rent windsurfs or kites.||It was also next to as supermarket opened until late a tnight. When we did not feel like cooking we could always find some good dishes at the Nikos and Maria's restaurant nearby (I would recommend the spinach pie and grilled octopus)||Trasfer to Naxos port was easy since the bus would stop right in front if the residence.||Most of all the ownner of the studio was a & charming and lovely person. She was always willing to help, offered us to do our laundry several times, and from time to time gave us some treat like a delicious feta & potato cake.||Whoever has travelled to Greece knbows that great hospitality is a given in Greece, but this went beyond in my opinion.||I can only highly recommend this address for a family who wants to spend some good time in Naxos.||||Loic, Delphine and their...

Prior to arriving Filippa was able to upgrade us to her larger room. We had an infant of 10 months old and when we arrived she had a crib and snack waiting for us. The suite is very large and spacious. When you walk in the front door you walk directly into the master bedroom which has a door between it and the rest of the suite for privacy. Through the door is the rest of the suite, kitchen with an adjoining bedroom with two beds as well as a huge washroom and balcony. Cleaning was done every day except on Sundays exactly as it states on the front door. Filippa was gracious enough to even offered to do some laundry for us at no extra charge! The Wi-Fi in the room is weak but on the balcony, it was very strong as the Wi-Fi box is located on the roof near our room. Filippa had a fresh snack waiting for us every day once we got back from the beach which was really nice. The location is in a quiet part of the west coast of Naxos. We had a car but the transportation around the island is easy as public buses run constantly and there is a bus stop right next to the hotel. There is a mini market and restaurant connected to the hotel which is all family run. Overall we had a wonderful time at Filippa suites and would not hesitate to book again! ...

It pains me to write this review - I so badly wanted to love Filippa and her studios. Our AC was filled with black mold that made me very ill, and I was bitten by bugs in the bed. There were dead insects littered on the floor and in the fridge. The buildup of dust was unimaginable.

Filippa was kind when we informed her of the mold, and hired a tech to look at the AC. After his visit, the AC fluid was replaced and the mold remained. It appeared a cloth had been run over the more visible moldy areas.

I feel guilty as I am aware this is Filippa’s business and livelihood, but when we brought the issues to her attention she was very hostile and emotional. She refused to refund and called us liars and scammers. I do not want this to hinder her bookings, but felt it necessary to...
