We had a fantastic 2 week stay at the Marianna , the family that run the hotel are very kind and attentive and will do what they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We had a family duplex which was perfect for us as a family of 5 & it was spread over 2 floors and had 2 balconies (room 202) It was very large and had everything we needed including a small kitchen area with a hob, small oven/ grill, kettle and all the utensils you need to make something light When we arrived there was courtesy teabags and coffee( they know the brits like a cup of Yorkshire tea) We were greeted by one of the very friendly owners when we arrived late at night at around 12 am and they offered us food from the restaurant and delivered it to our room with drinks and a bag of ice - it was a great first impression and let us know we were somewhere that was going to take care of us to the best of their ability! The hotel has a lovely pool with great comfortable sun loungers The food was great with a varied menu and great value and all made fresh , drinks very reasonably priced with fresh smoothies and milkshakes also available They sell 9 litres of water for your room for €2 and fresh milk for €3 which was great for not having to carry it back from the shops, we found this a really nice touch They have various themed nights at the hotel restaurant- Greek night, Italian, quiz etc and the ribs were fantastic! All the staff at the hotel were wonderful and very friendly and helpful , always willing to help with anything you needed The hotel provide a mini bus 4 times a day (11,3,7 & 10) down to the town which was really helpful and a taxi back is €8 if those times don’t work for you , they also run various trips during the week to local beaches for reasonable prices All in all we had a wonderful 2 weeks and were sad to leave , the hotel was everything we could have asked for and the owners and staff were all lovely There are plenty of sunbeds for everyone and no sunbed wars, we always got a bed no problems The owners have really thought about their guests and what would make their stay better and it really shows! We wouldn’t hesitate in returning and I’m sure we will one day 10/10 I have added pics of our room as we were getting ready to leave and I’d stripped the beds etc - it looked fab when we got there but I was to tired to remember to take pics lol

Fine if you don’t mind black mould, old cobwebs, spiders, ants and dust. Bed linen & towels clean but a few stains. Bedroom has been modernised (but poorly finished!) but the bathroom & kitchen badly need updating. Especially the shower. The shower is small & the shower curtain sticks to you when you’re in there. The floor gets soaking wet. Lots of mould in the bathroom some of which we were able to wipe away easily meaning the cleaning isn’t as robust as it is claimed to be. The kitchen has cutlery and plates and a tiny bottle of washing up liquid plus one bottle of water in the fridge & 2 coffee sachets but there’s nothing else, no washing sponge, tea towel, oil, salt or pepper (none of the kitchen staples). We had to block a hole where many ants were making their way into the bedroom. The air conditioning is €10 a day, we tried a night without it but it’s stiflingly humid so we had to buy it. We didn’t use the hotel sunbeds as they’re all green with mould. It is good that you can buy 9L water for €2 from the hotel. There is no reception area, they point you towards a desk but there’s never anyone there so checking out was confusing. When trying to check out we couldn’t find any staff so knocked on an office door, and the woman who answered basically told us to go over to the reception desk (where there was never any staff for the whole stay). She never came out to help us, after standing and waiting, asking a bar staff member who said he “didn’t know” we ended up just handing our room key back to a staff member behind the pool bar. We basically used this hotel as a base camp, we went self catering as we wanted to be out exploring rather than staying in the hotel, which is lucky for us as we were so disappointed. We strongly disagree with all the good (5*) reviews we read! We actually did read some terrible reviews but they were from a few years ago & since then we read many good ones which made us believe they’d improved however we couldn’t disagree with them more!! Maybe they just do their least effort if you book self catering. We aren’t even fussy people, we just at least expect it to be clean! We wouldn’t recommend staying here basically because even as a base camp it is not up to scratch on cleanliness & the staff were either not visible or not helpful. We felt uncomfortable staying here.

I can not fault this place. It’s a beautiful. Quiet location. The family do anything for you. A free shuttle bus EVERY day 4 times a day. Amazing grounds. I would definitively recommend and definitely return. They have a small bar and restaurant area but it has all you need and not expensive or rip off prices. I stayed in a 2 storey family apartment with balcony and terrace. It was huge. Thank you for a wonderful time 💙

Lovely stay. Extremely pleasant staff. Pool area clean with lots of sunbeds. A fantastic free bus service to Sidari centre 4 times a day - 11am, 3pm, 7pm and 10pm. You can then be picked back up from Sidari a little after those times. This service should be applauded and very appreciated especially as a 25 minute walk can seem a lot longer in close to 30° heat. There is lots of evening entertainment available so no need to venture out into town most nights. Our Duplex could sleep 5, with double beds both downstairs and upstairs along with a single. Upstairs was just the beds with a wardrobe and draw. We actually wouldn't have liked to have slept upstairs- a bit too claustrophobic with a sloping ceiling. Downstairs has a kitchenette with just enough cutlery/crockery for 5, an oven and sink. There is also a fridge freezer, and a dining table with 4 chairs. The shower is hand held but powerful and hot enough. The balcony which overlooked a tree lined field had a small table and 5 chairs. This is by far our most peaceful balcony ever. You can hear next to nothing other than yourselves. The staff here are all brilliant. We arrived around 1am and were greeted by Stefanos who even went back to the bar to bring us a bottle of complimentary water as there wasn't one already in the fridge. The other pool bar and main bar guys are all friendly too. Our maid did a fantastic job, cleaning everyday and changing our towels every few days. She left us a delightful towel arrangement one day 😃. There isn't much around Marianna but that's not a problem with the free bus service. We would recommend, and return to this place for its tranquility, pool area, evening entertainment and superb staff. Thank you for a...
