Margina Residence Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Paxos

This was the best surprise we could hope for. I booked the Margina Residence for our 3 days in Paxos and I have to say it far exceeded expectations. So much so that I’m writing this whilst still here. |The views are to die for - get up early for the sunrise and you won’t regret it! But more importantly the rooms are comfortable, clean and a good size. There’s a mini fridge and a kettle (but you’ll have to provide your own tea and coffee unless you’re willing to wait for breakfast, which is fine) The beds are a good size and very comfortable and the sheets are clean and smell lovely. Strange the shower was handheld which is tricky when you want to wash your hair, but adds to the charm. The staff are so friendly and helpful and make you feel at home straight away - we were greeted with lemonade which was perfect after a walk from the harbour. The breakfast was delicious - homemade pies every morning and the care taken to not make noise when laying the tables at 7am was so appreciated! |Location wise it’s great - loads of tavernas nearby and a supermarket. But because you’re a little bit further along it’s so incredibly peaceful and relaxing. |The only down side is that there’s no pool, and the beach over the road is incredibly rocky but we knew that in advance and it didn’t make a difference to how much we enjoyed it. We were a family of 7 adults celebrating two 40th birthdays and it was the perfect start. |Long story short, do not hesitate to come and stay whilst in Paxos. You won’t regret it. I can’t wait...

I travelled alone to the island and stayed here. They offer great services, the room is very beautiful and has everything you need - fridge, TV, AC, water heater and so on. The balcony was awesome and the view of the sea and Gaios is excellent. If you ask they clean your room but if you want privacy they respect that. I rented the boat from them as well with a skipper, it was an amazing journey, I was taught how to drive it, so I enjoyed it very much. I wish we had made a bigger round but it was okay too. They helped in everything, once i locked myself out of the room and they helped me as soon as possible. :D The family and the staff members are very kind, I really liked them! With some of them I had time to talk about everything - about the island, history, small talks, etc. The breakfast was okay, could be a little better for this price but overall I enjoyed it. At the end of my stay there was a little misunderstanding about the payment process, but I value that they said they were sorry they were wrong. In these times it is very rare, so I value it. The hotel is close to everything, the beach is almost at your doorstep, and the restaurants are a 5-10 minute walk. I hope I'll have the possibility to visit again soon in the near...

The very best time ever. This is a family run hotel and they treat you as family. We had the best view and were given total privacy whilst also being very looked after. Our friends have been coming here for over 13 years and we hope to follow their footsteps. Margina who owns the business is wonderful kind and so fun as are all the family. George who also runs his own boat company Ventouris is a real gentleman who goes out of his way to make sure you are fully aware of what to do and where to go with his clean and very capable boats. We rented twice from him and compared to other boat rentals his boats were new and very well maintained. We felt very sad leaving as we loved staying here and realised that knowadays it's very rare to no just be another tourist, but be treated with love and respect.
