Read moreDuring my Paxos vacation I made it my goal not to visit a restaurant twice. Nevertheless, I visited Piazza Massa twice. On the one hand, this was due to the delicious food and, on the other hand, to the ambience and the way the waiters and the owner treated the guests. On first visit I really wanted to try a local fish. The nice owner then brought me a bowl with several different fish to the table and explained them. The result was a delicious, freshly prepared fish with greens. Unfortunately, I couldn't remember the name of the fish. Including drinks the price was about 25 € On the second visit I opted for the parmigiano for starters and the ravioli stuffed with lobster for mains. Including drinks the whole price was about 30 €. Our table was near the small jukebox and we were allowed to express our music requests :D Nice ambiente, wonderful meals and absolutely affordable. Insider tip: Order the "cheesecake" for dessert. Read moreThis restaurant sets the bar higher than the average ones. Serving fish or seafood, be prepared to pay the price. It won’t disappoint you. The star dish is definitely the handmade pasta with seashells although all other dishes we had were flavourful; spaghetti a la vongole (spicy), octopus, mayatiko” fish with vlita. The rosé “Little Ark” had a nice balance and it was a good wine. The day we visited, they were understaffed and you could tell. So, no full attention on our table, we had to wait to be served. As for the little things that make the difference, no empty bowl for the seashells after I have eaten them and most importantly no wet little towel - a staple in my opinion when you serve seafood and people use their hands. The owner, a chatty fella will do the rounds, helping with everything he can and keeping customers happy. We would happily return and you should defined pay...
