This was such fantastic value in September for a self catering apartment with sea views, any little fault I found was quickly forgotten the moment I stepped out onto the balcony. It really was a Panorama. I was on the second floor. The view wouldn't be so good from the 1st floor and the balconies there are not so private.||||The apartment was a good size with good size shower, small kitchenette with a good selection of pots and crockery, including wine glasses. All clean and modern and in good repair. Small TV. The private balcony is large with two wooden chairs and a table and a drying rack with pegs. You could also fit a couple of loungers here if you had them and it had the sun until mid afternoon but you could find a bit of shade from early afternoon. Lovely view that matches the description. Up from the main road it is relatively quite. WiFi was not very good. You couldn’t stream video and even standard websites were very slow to load, mostly unusable but better from the balcony. There was a safe, reasonable lighting and plugs each side of the bed (two singles pushed together).||||Getting There||Poros is about an hour on the Flying Cat from Piraeus. The Panorama Apartments are about a 25 minute walk up from the ferry port. The last third is up hill. About 100 metres before you reach the road up with the sign for the apartments there are some steps. The walk up these is much quicker and easier than taking the road.||||Getting Around||There are reasonable beaches just a few moments walk east. I found Monastiri Beach, a pleasant 30 minutes walk east along the coast, good for snorkelling, The little monastery above is also worth a visit. There are a number of other beaches along the way, all have loungers and restaurants. I did see a bus on this this route in late September though it did not seem very frequent.||||Russian Bay, with beach club and ruins of an old Russian Naval base, is about an hour’s walk along the coast west. This is also a pleasant walk with nice views and a bit of shade along the way. Love Bay, just before Russian Bay, looked the nicest of the little beaches along the way though it was busy, even in September. In season there is also a bus to Russian Bay but I didn’t see one in late September.||||There is a reasonable sized Kritikos supermarket which you will see on your way up along the main road from the port, about 20 minutes walk from the apartment. There are a couple of others a bit closer, a few minutes walk up from...
Read moreWe have a reservation of three rooms for two nights. Upon arrival at 1pm, the rooms were not ready due CoronaVirus as we were told, and that they will be ready after 3pm but we were able to let our luggage and use the bathrooms and toilet, then, is when we realized that the toilet was not flushing and the cistern was not working plus a piece of the toilet switches was missing and the metal part and cables were exposed to the kids and therefor, dangerous. Well, we came back around 8 pm and my room did not have hand soap, toilet paper, the kettle was dirty and had water from the previous clients and the most outrageous was that the toilet cistern was not fixed but the seal from cleaning team was there! I had to ask them for a bleach bottle and clean the toilet myself plus insist in having it fixed.. They fixed the toilet at 10pm. But that was not all, during the night a waterfall next to the door of the room did not let us sleep the entire night, the front door was floated and couldn't step out the next morning. The issue was water tank of the upper floor was broken or something similar they said-
In the morning, the owner came to talk to me in my room and in my efforts to complain about the toilet situation I got in an unexpected argument were he was finger pointing at my face he yelled at me and disrespect me with sexist comments about how I should have clean the room myself once I was a woman!! We had a terrible experience with the cleaning team, the water supply, and the extremely rude owner but I have to say, the rest of the employees did the best they could for us to have second night in peace, they were very professional unlike the owner..it was really...
Read moreThe view from Panorama Apartments is stunning, with all rooms offering a beautiful sea view. However, be aware that this is more of a short-stay location. There is just a quick check-in service without offering any other pluses, and while room service is available daily, it does not follow a fixed schedule. There is also no nearby market to buy water or breakfast items, meaning you have to walk for more than 15 minutes and navigate a long, dangerous stairway if you don't have a car. This stairway must be used even to go out, and it is not recommended for elderly people or children. Additionally, the kitchen water is undrinkable, having a white color, and they don't sell water on-site. This isn't the best place to spend your entire holiday. I recommend staying only 1-2 nights. I made the mistake of staying longer, and it wasn't ideal. The view is the main highlight here, but overall, it's not suitable for extended stays.
