The facilities were great. You can read the other reviews about how great it is. There are a few things I thought that can be improved. I stayed at other hotels on the island that offered the same amenities so I am comparing them to this hotel. The saunas should be for free and there should be more lights in the sauna. Almost burn myself in the dry sauna because I couldn't see. The children activities or animation program should be widely advertised throughout the hotel and the program list shouldn't be just at the bar. I had children and was not at the bar at all. I spotted the program on my way out from dinner. The girls running the program were very nice. The children playground could be better. The swing should be bolted to the ground. My 5 yrs old was rocking the whole playset while swinging on it. Which it is scary. The food could be better. I thought it was nice that breakfast and dinner were complimentary. The beach chairs should be complimentary and not cost money to use. The pool should close later if possible. 18:00 is too early for the pool to close. There should be hotel parking. I had to drive around the hotel to look for parking couple blocks away.
Other than that, it is a great hotel. The staffs were nice and accommodating. The facilities were new and modern. The layout is amazing. The pool is phenomenal at night time. The pool view rooms were the best room. It is walking distance to downtown and...
Read moreGoing on holiday solo during the pandemic was always going to be a little different! I needn't have worried. The hotel and staff were excellent, and implemented high hygiene standards.I felt totally safe here. The staff knew I was on my own and I felt they looked out for me even though I'm a grown adult 😂. I'm sure the poolside snack I ordered was twice the size than it was supposed to be! Itan Poli kalo. Located one Street behind the main beach and road it's just a 10 minute stroll to the edge of the old town which has much charm and character. Just see where your feet take you and you'll be exploring tiny side streets with fantastic restaurants and a nice atmosphere for families and couples. My room was super modern, bed really comfy, air con fantastic and the addition of a small kitchenette too with full size fridge and microwave. My only criticism is the noise the sliding wardrobe doors make when they open. They end up hitting the end with an almighty bang and I could also hear the same from neighbouring rooms. Could also hear TV from next door. The sliding doors need some sort of rubber stopper to stop them banging against the wall. My room was facing the street which could be slightly noisy with the balcony door open. I'd recommend you go for a pool view. To finish, I wouldn't hesitate to come...
Read moreThe rooms are spacious and modern. Our balcony was small, but that was because we were on corner of building, other were big. They have everything you need. Cleaning is done everyday and towels changed, just be sure to put it on floor if you need a change. Beach towels are waiting for you in your room and they are changed each 3 days by house keeping. One note, housekeeping should use vacuum cleaner more often, a lot of hairs from drying here were found in corners, not picked up, the next day. There is a coffee/tea pot in the room and a little kitchen with everything. Breakfast was good, also when it is a rush hour, they got out of oranges. They should put more food of this popular ones per guest members. Also, when they make waffles it is a huge line and they finished at 10 instead of 10.30 (it was Sunday). Dinner wasn't really good, meat was very dry and 3-4 ways of potato and rice. Again, easily get out of tomatoes so you need to wait for swap. We stayed in 2 different Rethymno hotels HB before of 4* and this was the worse taste of food for dinner, number of choices was ok. So my recommendation is not to book with dinner in advance, take it at hotels for days you want. Spa area and bathrooms there and gym are great. Polls are great for the kids and playground...
