Rethymnon Beach is one of the best spots we visited in Crete! 🏖️ The beach stretches for miles with soft golden sand, so there’s always space whether you want to relax, walk along the shore, or swim. The water is clear and shallow, making it great for families as well as anyone who just wants an easy swim. 🌊☀️

The promenade behind the beach is full of cafés, tavernas, and shops, so you can easily grab a coffee, ice cream, or a full Greek meal without going far. 🍦🍴 In the evenings it’s especially beautiful, with the lights of Rethymnon town and the Venetian harbour not far away.

Sunbeds and umbrellas are available, but there are also plenty of free areas if you prefer to just bring your towel. Service from the beach cafés was always friendly and quick.

This is the beach you are want to go and dream of on cold and rainy days in Central Europe. It's a public beach and either you bring your own umbrella or you rent one. We went therein the afternoon after our visit of the beautiful town of Rethymno. The beach is clean with colored flags to tell you the status of the sea..there are food and beverages facilities near by and what we liked very much free showers and changing cabinet. I highly recommend you to stay till the sun set its beautiful to see and take a lot of pictures 😎❤You can walk around 15 Minutes to reach a lot of Bars and restaurants in a crowded street with tourists if you take your car you have to look a bit for a parking spot. The Review is not for the beach itself, but for the fact that, I don’t know for which reason, the water is almost non existent starting around 12:00 till evening … it is very unpleasant not to clean up the sand and salt water. From day to day worse . After 18:00 the water is closed , so if you want to go for swimming no water to clean up. Some Administrator of the sun-beds have awful and rude behavior - eg. because of the water problem if you want to use the showers of the other spot, they are aggressive and shut you up to leave.
