My boyfriend and I stayed at Fresh after opting for a more budget friendly holiday and we were thoroughly impressed with this hotel.||We arrived very late around 3.30am and found that our room hadn’t been cleaned from the previous guests (few wet towels, rubbish + unclean sheets) - my partner went to speak to the receptionist who came to help us straight away. This issue was rectified very quickly and we were given a new room as well as some complementary additions to our stay which were very gratefully received. After staying at Fresh for a full week, it’s evident that this was a one off issue as our room was cleaned to an immaculate standard every day. The cleaner was also super friendly! :)||Food at the pool snack bar is good - we ate there for lunch most days and really enjoyed it. Drinks menu is extensive + local beer reasonably priced. We also very much liked the cocktail of the day (especially Pina Colada!) where you can get 30% off during happy hour. ||We always got a sun bed and never had any issues. Because of this, the vibe is very chilled as I don’t think anyone reserved their sun beds early! Everyone just enjoyed their breakfast and headed out when they were ready. Pool super clean.||Breakfast options aren’t extensive but delicious and really good quality - pics attached. There is an egg, meat and veg options (beans/mushrooms etc.) that change daily, Greek yogurt, fresh watermelon, pastries, cakes etc. as well as cold meats/cheese/bread. We always enjoyed breakfast and for the price was super impressed - it’s only a small hotel so no surprise there wasn’t the selection of other resorts. Staff were lovely.||It’s a 10 min walk-ish into Faliraki with lots of nice bars + restaurants. The walk is OK but quite a busy road at the bottom so take extra care and use the crossings. Two super markets within 5 mins walk too for any extras you might need, water etc. Bus stop to Rhodes Town just over 5 min walk away, bus is €2.50 one way and the reception gave us info on times. It’s cash only.||Our transfer didn’t pick us up until midnight and we had 2pm late check out. However, we were able to leave our bags and were given fresh towels so we could make the most of our last day as there are lovely clean showers on the basement floor that you’re able to use - this made a huge difference and meant we could have a proper last day and feel fresh for the flight. ||We hadn’t been to Faliraki before but found some absolute gems! Eteon is a must for Greek food + Coco cocktail bar has some of the best drinks we’ve tasted. Sarikas at the end of the road is also great for coffees + pastries. Symi is also a must visit but you can visit much cheaper than the TUI excursion from on offer if you embrace the public transport. You can bus to Rhodes Old Town + get on a local ferry at the port for over half the price.||Overall, lovely budget friendly hotel with great staff and immaculate, modern rooms. Despite the slight blip on first night, we’d thoroughly recommend Fresh! You’ll have...
Read moreThe pool was the highlight of this stay, however be aware, it closes at 7pm. Breakfast was good with lots of options and helpful breakfast attendants. |We had a few issues during our stay, but unfortunately none were addressed to our satisfaction. Firstly, we had children and I have to say I honestly did not feel the children were welcome. We were glared at by staff and told they can't jump in the pool, but the same staff member then encouraged an adult woman to jump in. It seems more like an adult place, lots of couples or group trips. We had to have 2 rooms, that weren't even next to each other and were told we were lucky they are on the same floor. They did offer to move us 3 days later, into a family room, but that was difficult considering our circumstances. |The location of the hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the main road, with no shade, and 15 minute walk to the beach. There are no peep holes on the room doors. which is a concern for safety. One of our rooms, the deadbolt didn't latch and there are quite a few stains ond marks on walls. Finally, we stayed during a very hot week. The first few days, the air conditioning worked well, so much that I woke up cold and had to turn it down. Something happened during our stay, we noticed both rooms were sweltering and took hours for the air conditioning to kick in. In one room, the air turned off in the middle of the night and I woke up to 26 degree room. We informed them at the desk about the air conditioning rooms, but there was no follow up. |Go to town for lunch and dinner, quality in restaurant is below par. I think this place is good if you are looking for an inexpensive holiday and come...
Read moreCame across this hotel when looking for a last minute holiday and it did not disappoint. As we arrived, greeted on arrival with lovely staff.
The reception, dining and pool area all looked very nice, modern and well kept.
Our room was on the first floor which had positives (nip to your room from pool if you needed anything ) negatives ( cleaners were there first thing ) we ended up putting do not disturb on the door and they came back later. Talking about cleaners, they did an amazing job, rooms and towels refreshed everyday which is always a bonus and even had the sheets changed in our weeks stay. The room was modern, bright and spotless only downfall not enough hangers or storage. Could maybe swap bedside tables for some drawers.
Let’s talk about the food, omg, we could have went through everything on the menu, everything we had was amazing but you know what it’s like, you like to go out and explore restaurants ( we love our food ). My husband drinks pints but €5 and most of the time the glass was only 3/4 beer and the rest foam, he ended up drinking bottles. Cocktails were lovely and they do a special other but still a little pricey, but this is the case in the resort too, a lot more than you pay in the UK.
Only our second time in Greece and didn’t know what to expect. The hotel is about a 7/10 minute walk to the strip which was fine for us, the only downside is trying to cross the busy main road.
Overall, I can’t recommend this hotel enough and would not hesitate to go back, so if anyone going to Falaraki, give it a try, it will...
