During the checking of previous comments here and other sites I was wondering as everybody highlighted the owners as a superb hosts......and I've really decided to check it out.||||You know, they are not just welcome hosts who can help you with any questions and any problems but they are becoming your real family for the time of your stay.||||Let's start from the beginning.||||The location of this Hotel (I can call this place like that, believe me) is on the main road of Lindos - Rhodes, just in front of the bus stop. But at the same time it's a bit hidden from the traffic, means you're not disturbed at all. From the other side it's located within walking distance (around 10 min.) to the main beach of Faliraki, called Appolo Beach.||||The hotel is owned by a big Greek family (two brothers with their wives and kids). All of them speak English very good. The same family owns a very nice Asian Restaurant in the centre of Faliraki, so you always can find them either in one or another place. The main Hotel Manager, let's say, is Stama who makes your stay just an unforgettable. With all her attention to details and full of care, you feel yourself as her kid and a real member of the family. She usually comes very early in the morning for cooking the breakfast (it's a separate story and it's a must to try) until the afternoon. All other time during the day and late evening the owns arrive depending on your arrival and / or departure. So keep in mind that it's better to drop an e-mail to them with your flight details for letting them know your approximate time of arrival and to make sure that they welcome you.||So all the time when any members of the family are presented there, the bar is opened and you always can get smth to drink or even to eat.||Rooms are really spacious with nice balcony and small kitchen. They proper clean it everyday except Sunday. Just one thing which you should be ready is the missing curtain in a shower, nothing dramatic at all but you should be just more careful taking the shower for not dropping water all around =)||As I said already, Stama can help you with everything, starting with showing all the need roots and sights on the maps, recommending the best places to visit and to eat, renting cars / bikre / moto, etc. for the good prices and even to give an opportunity to buy some local HOME MADE honey, wine and of course olive oil.||||As I've mentioned before, breakfast is something what you have to try definitely! It's not necessary to take always a full breakfast, you can ask almost what ever you want. But when you order a full breakfast (which costs just 5 euros), OMG, plates are coming on your table one by one without any stops. She always cooking something different and very local. I'll not be deeply in description as better once to try it than plenty of times to read it. =)||||I stayed 5 years ago in Faliraki in one of the big hotels and even now I passed by few times through them and you know it's a totally different picture. If you want to feel yourself as a real local living with a lovely family you should try this way.||||I'm sure that I'll come back one day to Rhodes and believe me I have no doubts where to stay.||||Dear Stama and all you family thank you very much my superb vacation and this charming experience. Hope see...
Read moreI was in Rhodes last summer for two weeks by myself and staying in Hermes studios made my trip easier and much nicer.||The location is ok, according to the prices, You're 10mn walking from the beach, and located in the North East part of the island, where almost all main activities are.||You'll be 20mn away from Rhodos town, the main city in the north and an hour away from the furthest southern part, by car or scooter.||Rooms are clean and simple. Just what you need in a room, AC, shower, mini fridge...||The icing on the cake is your host, Stamatia! She's a very nice and warming lady. Helping you, always finding solutions and preparing the best breakfast in all Greece!||The Hermes studios atmosphere is very relaxful and it's easy to meet people, which is always helful, specially if you're traveling by yourself.||A...
Read moreStayed here as a family with 11 year old daughter for 10 nights . Hotel room spacious but basic . Had to pay extra for the air con at 5euro per night, as we had two rooms , we ended up having to pay an extra 100 euro . Hotel restaurant and bar is great . Staff so friendly and make an effort to get to know you. We are at the hotel restaurant quite a few evenings during or stay and the food was fab. Wish we had hired a car as it was impossible to get on the bus due to them being packed wall to wall with young teenagers , this was a bit of s problem for us as we like to get out and about . It was not safe to walk along the roads as no proper paths and difficult to see at night time . I like small and friendly hotels and this hotel ticked all the boxes , but unfortunately Skiathos was...
