I don't really get the reviews below, except for one which sounds similar:
We arrived and decided on food and drinks: no fresh smoothie (too late at 21:30) but they have a "really good" orange juice, from the box 🧃.. we ordered one Feta saganaki for starters and the stifado and pasta for main. We asked if stifado is with a side or only the meat, she said no side, so we ordered extra potatoes. After 50 minutes and no food, I asked one waitress about the appetizer.. 10 minutes later we got the main courses first and the appetizer came right after, after the other waitress said something about feta to the guy bringing the food. The feta saganaki was clearly rushed, since it was completely hard inside and not crispy enough on the outside. The stew and the potatoes were rather cold - and the stew had potatoes in it!!! When the first waitress came, we told her everything (including the potatoes in the stew) and she was arguing with us that they are onions.. until we cut one up! Then she left.. only for the next waitress to come after 5 minutes to ask if everything is ok.. I repeated the same story once more, in the middle of the meal, and she said she'll ask for the manager to come.
Two more bites and he was there, asking me the whole story again and telling me it's my problem that there are so many people in the restaurant.. afterwards he apologized and offered to cut something from the bill or give us a round of drinks. But we still haven't finished our meals which was completely cold by now and he was still arguing that there are a lot of people, that we have to understand, even though I told him 2 times that I did not call for him and also asked what he expects from me.
All in all we had a bad experience and even though the appetizer and the side were cut from the bill, we left with a bad feeling.
As someone down below commented, head better to Desert rose, much better service, quality of food...
Read moreI looked at all these reviews before going here, as it sounded a bit mainstream with the name. Saw that people got free desserts with their meals and thought “that’s nice and normally a sign of good service” - from my experience. I had the chicken gyros and my partner had a streak that was to be cooked medium rare with mushroom sauce. My chicken gyros was more like a cut of chicken breast fillet that was slow cooked and then pan fried as it was a bit dry and then completely fell apart when I tried to put it on the fork. A little bit too salty as well for my liking but each to their own. My partners steak came out and was more medium well done than medium rare, but he said that it was tasty still and juicy so he decided to not make a fuss about it, as we know all of these people are struggling after Covid and meat is NOT cheap. We had 2 or 3 different men come to our table a few times to make sure all was good - I find it to be too much. Once mid meal and then when plates were removed again would’ve been enough. They basically interrupted our dinner with coming by too many times. After dinner they brought out apple pie, and like I said I had read reviews who said they got free dessert and figured I would be rude to not eat it, as Mediterranean people are very lovely and welcoming and I would hate to be rude. Turns out that they charged us 2€ each for the apple pie - hence the 3 stars. Food was OK but I found that the service staff was too much in our faces and then having to pay for the dessert that THEY brought out without us asking is rude of them, especially when they asked if they everything was good and if we wanted something else and we said no...
Read moreSomething different? Yes, definitely! The worst service I've met in Faliraki and poor quality food. 40 minutes after ordering, I dared to ask when we could get our dinner and the confused waitress said went to ask the kitchen and then came back and said they needed 5 more minutes because there was a problem with the calamari. Since our food had not arrived after 5 minutes, I wanted to pay for the bottle of water and leave, so the waitress went inside but instead of the credit card terminal she suddenly returned with our food. My husband convinced me to stay and eat once the food was served. By this time they had came to apologise, but I think it would have been fair if they had done this earlier while we were waiting; perhaps served us some starters or at least asked if we wanted anything in the meantime, but they didn't look in our direction until I asked. They offered us a bottle of wine as a gift, but we didn't want to spend any more time in this place. There was also no discount on the bill when paying. I am totally surprised to read so many positive reviews, because the service was below par and the food was very poor. I highly recommend you to try something different, e.g. Acropolis Taverna or 1947 - The Greek Mixology Bar (drinks are also fantastic here!), both offered delicious food and...
