This was my first Family holiday to Faliraki with my 2 young children and KAPPA was chosen firstly for its excellent location, secondary for its modern decor and fresh appeal.
This was also the first time that I had booked an apartment directly and not through a travel company even though this was my 29th visit to Faliraki spanning over 20 years.
Do not be put off by the location even though it is situated very close to Bar Street. Faliraki is not the crazy resort it once was. It has matured into a resort that has something for every age group so it is perfect for couples, families and even single people who want the perfect base to explore.
Most holiday resorts will have noise of some sort, If its not loud music then its crickets, mopeds or even barking dogs, We once stayed further out of town and dogs barking the whole night kept us awake.
We received a text the day after we booked from the owners thanking us for booking and to ask us if we had any questions regarding our visit. Having a very good knowledge of Rhodes in general my only questions were relating to getting into our apartments as the flight arrival was late at night/early morning.
On arrival to Faliraki the apartments do stand out, very modern and chic looking. once inside they do not disappoint either being very stylish and classic at the same time. Nice touches like flowers and even a small bottle of washing liquid for cleaning the cups etc. Simple things that make you realise that the owners want you to have a hassle free and enjoyable stay there.
All the furniture and equipment was modern including TV, beds and aircon to mention. Quality patio chairs and tables on all the patio's. The standards were well above most of the studio/apartments that I had been used to staying in and it made you feel like you were living in something that little bit special.
Lastly like most of Greece, and Rhodes in particular comes the people who go out their way to make your holiday one to remember. The communication from Nikitas from the day we booked was first class, He visited us while we were there and was in constant touch with us through out the holiday.
He even contacted us out of the blue to ask how our young children were feeling and if there was anything he could do to help. The cleaning lady had noticed they were not well one day when cleaning the rooms and had told him and he contacted us straight away.
The ratings on here and other websites speak for themselves. As a Long time visitor to the island, I would recommend KAPPA to anyone visiting Rhodes not just Faliraki.
Brilliant, perfect for my family and will see you again...
Read moreI'll start with the main thing - the pros and cons.||||Pros:||- excellent condition of the rooms (fully coincide with the photos)||- daily cleaning||- if necessary, there are contacts Nikitas, who quickly gets in touch and resolves all issues.||- location: no more than 5 minutes to the beach, a step from excellent restaurants, about 10 minutes to the supermarket AB and the bus stop to Rhodes||- there is a terrace (we had room #2, located on the ground floor overlooking the courtyard)||- there is all the necessary utensils for cooking||||Cons:||- noisy (but the owners themselves warn about this in the description). The hotel is located on the busiest street (especially at night), therefore, even in a room with access to the courtyard, music will be heard.||- loud air conditioning||- all metal utensils (it is difficult to fry something normally)||- there was not enough microwave and oven (there is only an electric two-burner stove)||||||We checked into the hotel at night, the first time we entered the room using the code (which is very convenient), then in the room there were keys that we used during our stay. I was very pleased that we found the room in the same condition in which we saw it in the photo when booking.||||About the work of staff:||Cleaning was carried out every day in the interval from 12:00 to 14:00.||We had problems with the safe when checking in (by the way, it is included in the room price, which is also a big plus), but we contacted Nikitas and this problem was solved.||The hotel staff with whom we saw and talked, very friendly and polite, everyone spoke English.||Our return flight was also overnight, so the question arose - where to leave things and be ourselves during the day. For such a case, the hotel has a special room with cabinets for storing luggage, or you can extend your stay in the room by agreement (if the hotel has such an opportunity), which we gladly took advantage of (paying 30 euros).||||In general, we were very pleased with the apartments and the...
Read more😊: The kitchen had everything you needed to prepare basic foods and it was easy to get in and out of the place. The place was clean and they came it do towels and sheets everyday. There were quite a few ants in our place I think due to the bathroom window being broken so you couldn't close it or due to the whole above the floor next to the front door.. 😢: From 21:00 to 01:30 every night, the noise from nearby clubs was extremely loud in the room. We had to play a speaker to drown out the noise at 60% volume to sleep. While we were warned about 'loud due to city noise and adjacent bars', this was far beyond that—pounding music from multiple clubs directly next door. This isn’t typical bar noise; you're right above a strip of nightclubs.
Our apartment (Unit 1) may have been worse due to its ground-floor location, right next to the strip. The balcony was shared with a large, noisy generator and faced an alley / the other block of apartments with...
