Greek Spirit — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

Nice location and decor. Not so good when it is windy. Staff not so friendly, but depends who you talk to. I got unfriendly waiter, but the manager (I guess) was okay. I was with a friend at the opening hour. We asked if we can come and they agreed. However we felt unwelcome. We wanted to leave, but since waiter took us, it felt unkind. The waiter couldn’t recommend anything- basically just laughed and tell us there are different dishes and it depends what we like and we need to choose. He got some point, but it’s nice when you can get something recommended in a different country and new place. We got a different salad that we ordered. Of course they changed that, but the ingredients were missing. For a small salad with lettuce, few slices of tomato, cucumber and chicken we paid almost 9€. It should have also mushrooms and carrot - but it weren’t there. Plus - because we asked without onion (which is also an ingredient) and it didn’t have one. We didn’t want to cause any more trouble, since we really felt from the beginning as a trouble, so we didn’t mention missing ingredients, but we asked about that at the payment- but we got the information that we should have tell earlier, because he can’t check it. ( I feel like the waiter didn’t believe us about that) I think that he could at least ask kitchen. I mean we didn’t care about money, we just wanted to know if it is a normal situation and what happened. Tzatziki was pretty good, but small amount of cucumber inside. We went there lured by opinions on google, but it was literally the worst place I visited on Rhodes. Maybe it is a nice place and we got there on a bad timing, but from my experience I wouldn’t come...

We ate here two times and both times were fantastic. We had spare ribs, Stifado and the mixed grill. Everything tastes wonderful and is really cheap for the quality and the amount of food you get. Medium sweet white wine was also great. Although the food is exceptionally good, for us the highlight was the service provided by the waiters and waitresses. Every single member of the team is extremely friendly and really dedicated to ging you the best dining experience you can get. For example we wanted to give up a letter to relatives at home, but we didn't have any glue to attach the postmark to the letter, so we asked the staff if they had some glue. After some searching they came back with a silicone gun, bwcause they didn't have anything closer to an ordinary glue, and glued it together. The whole time we had a blast, laughing about how ridiculously over the top this was. So, in conclusion, if you not only want to have a great meal, but also some great company to go with it, this is the right place to go.
