First let me say that the food is great. We dined here twice and everything was great. This is a meze restaurant so it's small (or not so small) plates. There was vegetarian options but I doubt if they are vegan. The prices are really good too and of the 4 places we ate at during our week, this was the most cost effective. I would have been happy to eat here every night but for one thing. They couldn't organise the service correctly. 1st visit we were just stood in the courtyard for 10 mins before being acknowledged and shown to a table and for a meze restaurant, things came haphazardly so some things were eaten separately. Our second visit, we were say quickly enough but as there is only 1 person taking orders and being typically Greek he went to the ladies tables first, we waited 20 mins before I had to grab one of the servers to order a drink only for the guy to come over for our order to question is having a drink before he served us! In short, great food,...
Read moreThe decision for this place was rather spontaneous because another place we got recommended was fully booked.
My wife is vegetarian, which usually reduces the dishes that you can order to a limited set of starters and salads. But not in this place!
We shared a tasty eggplant dish which was like a Greek version of parmigiana. It went pretty great with the sautéed garlic mushrooms, the beet root salad and the Tzatziki. And then there was plenty more food to come, because we chose to order 200ml Ouzo and the Ouzo is completed with a choice of starters (…of course, it’s meze after all…). My wife also had a 500ml of the house Rose, also really really nice.
When the bill came and it was under 40 Euro, I thought they had forgotten something at first but it was all correct.
Yesterday we went to that other place which was recommended. It was a little more posh but immediately double their price with smaller portions.
I think for our last night we will come...
Read moreI always have that "problem" that when in a new place, I find the best restaurant immediately and then have a hard time forcing myself to go anywhere else (and every time I just prove to myself that I already found what's best). Most probably it's the same in case of Rhodes now. We ate our first dinner here yesterday, and I can't find enough good words: phenomenal food for a very reasonable price, decent-sized portions (do you see these desserts?! WOW!), a lot of vegetarian options, and last but not least, very positive and honest staff. We even got a complimentary water, so kind! For as long as we were there, all the tables were occupied at some point, and they deserved to be. Amazing experience, thank you for giving us such a good first impression about the people here. I greatly appreciate your work...
