If possible, avoid this place. From the outside, it appears to be a simple, well-maintained budget hotel, but once you get to your room, it becomes clear that guest comfort is not a priority. Hygiene is definitely lacking everywhere. The hotel consists of a main building with pool-view rooms and a few side buildings for guests who didn’t book directly through TUI. There’s a significant discrepancy in room quality - even within the same block. We were initially given a ground-floor room with a view of an inside hallway instead of the garden-view room we had booked. There was no privacy, as people walking by could see directly into our room, forcing us to keep the curtains closed at all times. The room was infested with moths, the air conditioning unit blew directly onto the bed, and the furniture was extremely old. Despite the hotel’s exterior appearance, nothing inside seemed to have been renovated for decades. We complained to both the reception and our tour agent, and about a day and a half later, we were given a slightly better room on the second floor. It had a marginally larger bathroom and a balcony facing the same interior hallway, but at least some sunlight made its way in. The moths were replaced by ants, there was not enough water pressure in the shower during “peak hours” and there was a noticeable smell of mold - but by that point, we were completely over it. On the positive side: the mattresses in both rooms were comfortable, the sheets were clean, and there was something reasonably decent to eat at every meal.

We travelled to faliraki in may for 7 nights. We stayed at the Olympia sun hotel for the duration of the stay. I must say the hotel is conveniently located with easy walking access to the lively faliraki town and easy bus route access to surrounding areas. The rooms you see in the pictures are the ‘superior’ rooms as shown in the booking. The standard rooms are not as you see them. We arrived late evening, around 11pm, and we were shown to our room by the night manager. The night manager was amazing and helped us as much as he could. The room we received at first was on the bottom floor located in the rear building. It wasn’t satisfactory and the ‘balcony’ they advertised was inside the complex. (See pictures below) However, we spoke to the manager in the morning and they sorted us out with a better room in the main building on the 3rd floor, which was a lot nicer and included a proper balcony overlooking the pool and sea.( see pictures attached) The reception staff are excellent and do help as much as they can. The food is adequate and drinks the same, you will find something to eat. Being a young couple we would stay at the hotel again purely to visit faliraki as we loved it. Throughout our stay we met many people who lived and worked in faliraki and they all said that unless you pay top money for the 5 start resorts, all 3 star hotels are the same as Olympia sun. I would recommend this hotel to others, just ensure you either book the superior rooms or ask for a change and they should help out.

Don’t go there! They are lieying with the photos, they have 3 units, one of them it’s 200m away from the pool, with no wifi, tv not working and terrible rooms. If you want to go for breakfeast or pool you have to travel another hotel garden, another option is to walk 500m on the street. The manager was not kindly with us when we sayd that our room is not the same with the picture that we payd for. She started to scream and say that she doesn’t have time for this things. There are a lot of people in the reception all the time at the start of the holiday to sayd that the picture are not showing the reality and they want to go somewhere else. They showed us another 2 rooms in the next day worse than the first one. We sayd that it’s not ok and the manager sayd that it’s enough, go to your agency.

If I could rate it no stars I would never have i ever experienced something as bad as this hotel. With the hotel dismissing all complaints too! A holiday I booked through love-holidays. We were staying at Olympia sun hotel in Faliraki, Greece, we had a booking containing two double rooms, with two adults and two children present. The reason I am writing a bad review is due to the issues we faced during our stay at the destination, we arrived here late the 27th of July 2025. We were shown to our rooms on arrival only to be faced with shock, disappointment and frustration. The building we were led to is a long walk from the main hotel meaning we are practically not part of the actual accommodation that was advertised. We are on the outskirts of the hotel being completely outcasted from the pools and other facilities. We do still have access to these areas but only if we make the commute into the publics street which has left us feeling unsafe. One of our rooms has a balcony which faces out on to the public street on ground floor level, in which leaves us not feeling secure at all. The first time the cleaners had entered our room after the first night they left our balcony door open. This left an invitation for anyone to enter and remove our belongings such as passports, bank cards, clothes other belongings. In attempting to speak to management and reception about our concerns and the state of our room (I will go in to detail about with photographic evidence), the staff we spoke to said we were not entitled to change as we were not Tui customers and they have priority. Apparently this is a Tui hotel and no other bookings get priority! (Another thing we were unaware about). Im sure you can understand our frustration when we’re were told this. The rooms that were advertised on the website were for Tui customers only according to staff here and they couldn’t do anything about this. When we brought up that our door had been left open and our stuff was left exposed they didn’t apologise or seem concerned at all.|Both rooms were not satisfactory. We have cockroaches all around, which led to us having to buy products from shops to try prevent this. Every time you thought the cockroaches were gone more would appear due to the hotel being so unclean and may I add we had to deal with them and kill them!!. Ant infestation in the rooms was also another concern . Both rooms had cracks and dirt all over the walls and the floor. We have rubbish outside the balcony including used sanitary products, this was there for 5 days before being removed. In one of the rooms there is not a working television or air con (it is stated these should be provided). One room had the shower held up by a hair bobble and along with the leaking sink the shower floods not only the bathroom but our living area too! Our first day didn’t get towels and they often only gave us one meaning we couldn’t put them on the floor in order to prevent a hazard, just a reminder one towel for 2 people! We had to climb over the toilet in order to use the shower making personal hygiene difficult, especially with two of our group suffering from disabilities that can affect our mobility and daily living, the hotel was fully aware of this. When we arrived we to our rooms late at night after cleaning times the sheets on the bed were unclean and disgusting. After asking for towels multiple times we finally received some only for them to be taken away and not replaced on our second day here. One of the room also had multiple lights not working and a room door that is faulty. Again leaving us feeling like we are not safe and secure. The doors were like cupboard doors and with one not locking properly leaving another entry point to our room for anyone.||On the booking details it’s says that there is entertainment at the hotel although there seems to be one holiday rep who didn’t follow through with the rota that is provided around the hotel meaning we are again not getting what we were expecting.||When it comes to the all inclusive side of things we are facing great difficulty when trying to eat here. The snack bar offers chips in which we can eat but the restaurant for all parts of the day only contains 7 options for food with limited amounts. The food on offer doesn’t change and it is often undercooked. This leaves us with no variety and we are having to spend unexpected amounts on food elsewhere. They also failed to label the majority of food meaning you were unable to know what it was and if you had allergies you had to be extra cautious.||On the last day after the holiday had received a complaint from ourselves through love holidays the carried out all proposed entertainment and put more food options and actually labelled the food whilst a woman worker went around photographing and videoing this. ||I hope you can see where our frustration stemmed from and you can avoid making the same mistakes we did. We do believe this holiday has been falsely advertised and has not reached the expectation of the price in which we paid. This has affected our experience with the beautiful city and I would hate for others to go through this too. I couldn’t even put a formal written complaint in to the hotel as the staff advised they don’t do this !! So they only dismiss verbal complaints.||I have attached below some images outlining some of the many issues we have faced in the short time we have been there, please take the...

The accommodation was beautiful- on pictures but far from what you’ll expect when you actually arrive. The pictures shown are of the newly “renovated” rooms but you’ll be lucky if you actually get the room you thought you were booking. We checked in at 2am and by the time we realised what was happening it was too late in the night to sort it. Our 3 children were down the hallway from us and we ended up dragging a mattress to our twin room for our toddler into our room and leaving our older children in their prison cell of a room down the hallway. Balcony room can be the view of the car park, the back of the adjacent building or a court yard, if you’re lucky you’ll get a view of the pool. The view of the sea in the day is lovely but you’ll regret the positioning at 5am when the younger guests are still congregating around the pool or screaming in the hallways and you’re trying to sleep. The staff are limited to 1 employee at night so you won’t get any help at night. There is a second building which you can get carted off to if you’re not happy with your main building accomodation, and have a lovely view of the dirt car park

The food smells the same everyday day in and day out. We had 1 night when the food was actually decent and edible, other than that you’re better off walking 10mins down the road and finding something reasonably priced. For a family of 5 it ranges from €100-€150 per meal.

The catering and cleaning staff were pleasant and welcoming. We found a bug on our mattress and blood on the sheets the second night and asked for a fresh clean mattress the cleaner couldn’t be nicer. The reception staff however - rude! They address the room discrepancy as if it was our booking was our fault when we selected what the requirement was and what TUI provided - a family room! The bed bug - the TUI rep came and dealt with it. The clean sheets - the TUI rep dealt with. The receptionist with the golden orange hair was useless and rude. After this the cleaner was replaced with another cleaner and this cleaner requested for tip at the end of our stay which I thought was very rude.

They’re understaffed for the amount of guests they have checked in, the communal areas are constantly left dirty for the shire volume of guests to staff. The toilets by the pool/bar/ dining area absolutely stink of urine no matter what time of day it is, and the floor is always soaked with it. The cups are questionably cleaned - if you select your own glass in the snack bare you’ll be able to see that they’ve just been rinsed and left over syrup from the last drinks.

The pool is too small for the amount of guests there is 3 full blocks of guests and never sufficient sun beds - you’ll have to get up at atleast 6am and bag a sunbed if you don’t want to be the AH who puts a towel down the night before. You can do that though because they don’t clean the pool area in the evenings, the floor is sticky and filthy. I think the day someone took a toilet in the pool was the first time it had a “clean” in a long time. There’s broken tiles and draining all around the pool. The hand rail is broken but usable. The children’s pool is about 3metres wide with a wobbly railing and the little splash pad next to it was broken for the whole duration and by the looks of it had been broken for sometime before we arrived.

There is a lack of communal areas - so after dinner rather than making space of the other guests coming for their evening meal Everyone congregates in the dining area. There a patio space on the reception floor with 6 chairs - not sufficient. There is a snooker table, you have to pay to use but also one side is blocked by a cabinet. The disused reception area is potentially a communal social area with the sofas but not near the bar or any entertainment. The entertainment is 1 lady and her laptop, you can have karaoke, live entertainers or...

We stayed here in August, was very hot reaching. 40 degrees. We were greeted by a lovely bus driver who took us to our hotel then it all went down hill when we got to our rooms, dirty and out dated website shows lovely renovated rooms but don’t expect that. Fridge was gross, beds had bugs and bathroom had bugs too and was overall dirty, bedsheets creased and stained very thin like paper, broken t.v on the wall mirror light was broken along with lights above bed which meant we only had one light, walls missing paint and chipped all over, balcony covered in bird poo, for it being a family room we only had two balcony chairs and one dressing table chair which wasn’t enough, asked for fresh towels they took our dirty ones away and didn’t replace so had to go a day without which wasn’t ideal after being covers in cream, sea water and sand!!! Rooms aren’t baby friendly at all, the AC is okay but it will just turn off after a while and you will wake up sweating. The cleaners are lovely and very chatty too however I heard a few people’s things going missing so be aware. The pool was nice but very over crowded all the time kids pool had adults going in and out too much. Hotel entertainment finished around 10:30pm lond music keeping little ones up that late was frustrating. Lots of party people and young groups of teenagers staying here meant lots of rowdy people in the hallways early morning so you will be woken up as rooms aren’t sound proof what so ever, very few kids at this hotel don’t think it’s aimed for family’s s such, Sun loungers were always all taken by 8pm so you have to be early if you want one. Snack bar was tiny had the same three things everyday. The eating restaurant had the same things each day too just slightly different after about 5 days it gets a bit much. Is only two baby chairs in the restaurant so likely won’t get one if needed we had to sit our 12 month old on a normal chair or hold him to be able to eat so wasn’t ideal, if you do have one be prepared for people to keep asking to take it. Staff are super friendly but do keep expecting tips from you, they maintain the pool aera and eating area very well always clean which is a bones after the state of the rooms. Be aware if heading toward the town you have to cross a mainroad on a blind corner with is very busy and the cars here do not stop for anyone. Falaraki centre is really nice lots to do and see is only about 10 minute walk from here also the beach is only a 10 minute walk too. Busses to Rhodes town are easy to catch from 5 minute walk to the main road however be ware during may- sept they are extremely busy. Can get busses to Lindos and Antony Quinn beach too for only a couple euro. TUI rep is in hotel almost everyday lovely lady answered all our questions and queries super helpful. Be ware of people if you’re going out at night beggars on the street with kids will try to take from you.Overall nice area with lots to do but probably wouldn’t overall recommend the hotel just from...
