Restaurant Family Taverna — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

Me and my family picked this restaurant on a whim at the beginning of our trip as it was only a five minute walk from our resort, and we couldn’t have been happier with the quality of everything, from the service to the food and location. They have a wide variety of food available on the menu, with options available for the whole family. Young children may enjoy the pizzas whilst the older ones in our family thoroughly enjoyed the traditional greek options. The portion sizes are amazing value for money, and although our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, the waitress was more than happy to pack up all our leftovers for us. At the end of the meal they gave us free drinks (free ice cream for the under 18s) and we even managed to convince the owners wife to join us for a few! They were extremely welcoming and genuinely cannot think of a fault of this restaurant. We enjoyed it so much that we booked ourselves in for another meal on our way out, which was just as good as the first, with free desserts being thrown in as well the next time! Would highly recommend the hummus and calamari personally, but again I think you’ll struggle to find an item on the menu which you’d dislike. If I’m ever back in Faliraki this place will be at the top of my list...

As a chef I highly recommend this 'family' restaurant. I literally got the best quality/price awesomeness in this place. Stuff, the atmosphere is amazing. Taste is almost close to fine dining experience but with the 'greek size portions' :) And price still makes me have a doubt how they profit that :) Jokes aside we were eating there almost everyday of our 12 days holiday. We have tried many different restaurants for sure but nothing satisfied me like they did. I highly recommend any lamb meal they have. They have super tasty marination on meat and no smell no hard chew meat. Pure class. Only thing I would recommend them to add more vegeterian meal to their menu for who likes to taste fresh and natural veggies of island.

The best Greek food we have ever had & we’ve been all over Greece for over 30 years! Delicious stuffed vine leaves, creamy Tzatziki & warm home made bread. The Lamb Kleftiko fell apart & the flavours were sublime. The Moussaka was beautiful & the Pork Loin dish was so good with olives, cream cheese & sun-dried tomatoes. The portion sizes left us feeling full & happy & we even had enough for a doggy bag to take home. Very traditional place with Greek music & super friendly & caring family. We felt right at home here & have booked to go back on Monday for the Greek night which we can’t wait for. You will not find a more authentic Greek Taverna than this.
