Loukia Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Sifnos

Our stay at Loukia Apartments was great one! Even prior to our arrival, communication with Irini, the complex manager had been punctual and to the point. The complex consists of independent units, stone-built, fully revamped, more modern in terms of design, rather than traditional Greek. The views to be enjoyed by the lodgings’ terraces are divine and magnificent! Breakfast is being prepare by Irini, who, for all intents and purposes is a wonderful cook (upon arrival - it was a Sunday, she offered us Revithada, a traditional Sifnian dish, which was out of this world!). The breakfast trays differ everyday (for variety’s sake) and I believe cater to most tastes, as they comprise eggs, fruits, nuts, bars, bread and cheese. Coffee can be prepared according to preference and there are vegan substitutes for milk. All items are home made - even bread, which is delicious! Everyone working at the complex is polite and helpful; there’s positivity, bright, smiley faces and hospitable attitude. Location is also quite convenient, in Artemonas, close to Apollonia and most of the amazing beaches in Sifnos! The apartments per se, are simple in terms of decor however they include basic amenities (except hair conditioners / body lotions), and basic kitchen equipment. There’s an espresso machine too and bottles of water are offered. They’re planning on incorporating safes in the apartments - although, they reassured us that Sifnos is considered to be a super safe destination. There are no irons / ironing boards nor bath robes. In all however, one can expect to have a comfortable stay - the mattresses are quite comfy too! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Loukia Apartments and have memories to be treasured. Our Recent stay at Loukia Apartments was unbelievable. The rooms were super clean and the views were unforgettable. Also, there was an old trail that led down to a beautiful church and swimming spot. But I want to express my deepest gratitude to the Lady that managed the place. My wife and I are both vegan and finding a variety of vegan food is difficult on most islands. She went way above and beyond and provided us with such amazing food that she made just for us. She made us an amazing chickpea dish, baked her own bread, cashew cheese, desserts and mouses. She claimed it were just her first time but the food was excellent. We looked forward to breakfast every single day. I know cooking vegan isn't totally in Greek culture and she went above and beyond to make us happy and I would highly recommend staying there and we cannot wait to go back!...
