Even though the service was good and the atmosphere was cozy, the food was not worth it. We had revithada, mastelo, caper salad and garlic spread (skordalia). The portions were way, way too small for the price, which is one of the main reasons I'm giving this 2 stars. The caper salad was just caramelised onions, with a near non-existent taste of capers. Revithada was just chickpeas with an abundance of olive oil, and the garlic spread was the tiniest portion I've ever seen in my entire life, especially for a taverna. Finally, paying 14.00 EUR for a small piece of mediocre lamb with some fries (mastelo), was...not fun. The restaurant is family-run and when you go there you do feel part of the family too since everybody is kind, funny and inclusive
All food is delicious, home made and comes from the family's farm. And prices are more than fair, sometimes I would suggest to increase prices since quality is so high!
Authentic to the bone, this place is where I look forward to come back throughout...
Read moreWe ate here our first night in Sifnos because we were staying at their on-site hotel, and the reviews seemed good. We had a great first experience but wanted to try other places around the island. We ended up coming back again because I dont think you can beat it. The 4.5 stars on Google are an understatement. It's family run with a lot of the ingredients coming from a family farm. The prices are very reasonable so I don't know what some of the whack jobs in the reviews are talking about. Go early in your trip to Sifnos because I guarantee you'll regret...
