Issos Residence — Hotel in Municipality of Southern Corfu

I spent a week at Issos Residence and it exceeded my expectations! The room was very comfortable and had everything one might need. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom had a big shower and the small kitchen had all the essentials to eat and cook. There’s a very practical mosquito net attached to the window that leads to the balcony, which is not only a nice spot to have breakfast, but it also has a useful drying rack and sometimes cute cats come to say hello. The cleaning ladies were super nice and kept the room always clean. In the room there is the A/C which is a huge plus, it’s amazing to rest in a cool and clean room after a day at the beach! The position is very good, at just walking distance from the beach and some rental places where you can plan fun activities. The market is literally a few meters away from the residence, very useful to get some water and food. What really made the stay an amazing one though was Vasilis. He has always been extremely helpful and kind to us. When a friend that was on the trip with me felt sick he helped us get some medicine and whenever we had any question he was always ready with answers and suggestions. I don’t usually write reviews, but this time I simply can’t stay silent. I’m deeply impressed by this place — it’s incredibly clean, cozy, and fresh, and it truly feels like home. It has everything you might need, and even if something is missing, the host is lightning-fast to respond. Speaking of the host – he’s just as amazing as the house itself. Such a kind soul, always ready to help and guide you with genuine care. He recommended some fantastic local spots to eat, and each one was a hit. The beach is just a 5-minute walk away, and there are plenty of shops and tavernas nearby — literally within 50 meters, you’re already on the main street with lots of restaurants. The property also has convenient parking, which is a big plus. I’ve traveled to many places, but this one truly touched my heart. By the end of our stay, it didn’t feel like a hotel anymore — it felt like visiting a good friend. People like this host are rare, and they make all the difference. Facility wise, you have everything you need to enjoy a relaxing vacation. It’s a brand new facility, with relaxing decor in earthly tones that made us feel all the more calm. Apart from that, The hosts literally went above and beyond what you would expect even for Greek hospitality standards (airport shuttle, pro tips for food and beaches to visit but also left us a welcoming champagne and flowers after we mentioned that we are newly wed which really made our day after a tiring travel).

Personally, I have already booked my stay for next year as well! We stayed for a total of 6 nights. The room was super clean and it also used eco friendly water heating system which was a first for us! I highly recommend booking a stay here!
