I booked A & V Luxury Villa for my family for four nights this past July because my son was getting married on the island. When we first planned this trip many months earlier I had booked Aquaria Villa, which was larger in size and just a gorgeous. (They are both managed by the same group). As the time got closer to the wedding, several guests we had hoped would attend and stay with us ended up not being able to come. After contacting the villa directly and speaking with Eugenia, the concierge, she suggested that we switch to A & V Villa as it was smaller and also has a guesthouse that the future bride and groom could stay in before the wedding so they could have their privacy. It also allowed us to have the groom and his groomsmen a separate space to get ready in on the wedding day.
One of the things we wanted to do there was to host a dinner at the villa the night before the wedding and there are not many vacation rentals or villas that allow for that. Both of the villas in their portfolio allowed private parties so we were very lucky to find this place.
When you book a place like this on line you just don't know if it will compare to the photos but I assure you it is even more beautiful than I can put into words. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, the living spaces are lovely and allow for dining, relaxing and cooking if you want. Two of the three bathrooms are updated. The downstairs bathroom could use a little TLC the shower did not really function for us because the shower head is really low on the wall and is only hand held (I think its meant for a tub). As for the outdoor space it is truly unbelievable. The pool is amazing and there are so many areas for entertaining or just relaxing. There is also an adorable resident cat we named Fred that hangs out there by the pool who loved to be pet and snuggled.
Now I want to talk about Eugenia. I started corresponding with her back in January about hosting the dinner and getting any input she had on other things we should do while we are on the island before and after the wedding. She was so helpful with her recommendations for everything you could imagine. She helped me plan everything! We began our stay with a sunset catamaran tour, which she arranged. The following day she did everything to help set up the dinner for all 21 wedding guests, including arranging the caterer, the table and chair rental, the decor for the dinner and more. She arranged for all of our travel excursions as well. I just can't say enough about Eugenia. I could not have done any of this without her, in fact, she really did it all! I honestly felt like she was part of my family while we were there. The day of the wedding she got us lunch delivered so we didn't have to leave the villa. She also arranged a hairdresser to come on the wedding day for myself, my other daughter-in-law and the brides mother. I know I am leaving out other things she did to make our stay so perfect.
On a side note, our guest all were very impressed with everything during our dinner and even likened the villa to Love Islands villa. The villa offered transfers for our arrival and departure to the airport, there was a housekeeper who came daily who even did our laundry for us and every day a chef came in to cook us a wonderful breakfast. If you book either of these villas you will not be disappointed. My entire family felt like royalty during our stay. I can't...
Read moreWe had 3 couples stay in this perfect villa for our vacation to Greece. The outdoor spaces, out back and upstairs terraces, were perfect for time together or private time. The pool was the perfect temperature for the time of year we visited, a refreshing break. The bedrooms were of nice size and beds were comfortable. There are 3 bathrooms, so each couple could have their own. The downstairs shower was a little awkward to shower in but we shared the upstairs one for showers only. The only ensuite bathroom was the additional area downstairs, but it all worked. The daily breakfast was wonderful to start our day and actually was abundant enough that we had ask to scale down because we hated not eating everything that was made. There is a grocery store not more than a 10 minute walk away from the villa that we visited multiple times for whatever we needed. There was a coffee shop at the top of the villa driveway entrance that we became regulars of. We loved the location of villa because it was out of the hustle bustle of all the crowded touristy areas. The villa is perfectly located on the middle of Santorini so seeing the entire island was easy by car. The absolute best part of AV Villa is Eugenia. She is very professional, knowledgeable, patient, and kind. Since we were not island hopping and staying in Santorini for 7 days, we asked her what we could do on the seemingly small island. Oh boy did she help us with a fantastic itinerary that everyone enjoyed. Communication with her was clear, consistent, and reliable. She answered ALL of our questions months before we were to travel there. And, that constant communication continued while we were there on the island. She arranged all of our transfers to and from all the activities on our itinerary daily and for the last minute dinner reservations and outings we had. She uses the same group of drivers, so we got to know some of our drivers well too. Overall, our trip to Santorini was amazing as we saw all parts of it with our extensive stay there. Eugenia suggestions made the experience complete and memorable. I cannot recommend enough the A&V Villa and more...
Read moreWe had an amazing stay at the AV Sea View Villa! I can't say enough about how terrific Konstantinos and Eugenia were - from the communication before our arrival, to the welcome pitcher of fresh lemonade Eugenia made for us! She provided us with a tour and orientation to the island, and went out of her way to make sure our stay were terrific - she was always available via What's App to answer questions, and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and activities. The villa itself is beautiful and perfect for our group. My husband and I were celebrating our 25th anniversary with a Greece trip with friends. The outside spaces were perfect for relaxing with breakfast in the morning, and a drink before going out in the evening. It wasn't quite warm enough to swim, but the pool is gorgeous. The rooms are quite comfortable, and my husband and I enjoyed the 'private suite' downstairs. The villa location is great - close to the airport and port, and along the main road but not full of tourists like the other larger villages. It was a quick drive anywhere on the island, and we spent a lot of time exploring everything - Santorini is truly as beautiful as it appears in pictures! We have visited a lot of places, and stayed in a lot of different accommodations - the AV Sea View Villa ranks as one of our very favorites! If you want your own little slice of heaven on Santorini, definitely...
