Galini Palace Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Vari - Voula - Vouliagmeni

Staff was very rude, especially the reception, they don't know how to speak in English, we had a booking for an excertion they had called me in 22:30 in the night, I was a sleep and forced me to postpone the excertion, it was really weird in that night. As I got a feeling that they had forgotten to book. The following on the day of the excertion, I went to check if the excertion is still in and they said no as I canceled the excertion, when they had postponed it. And they blamed on me. When I gave them my proof they immediately turn the story and somehow managed to find a place for the excertion. And I asked for a packed lunch and whey blamed me again that as If I canceled the excertion and I had to explain them again that they, the reception have postponed it. And made it a point when something is postponed it will move all agreement to the agreement date including the packed lunch, and then they admitted that it had to come from there side. Not to mention there is an elderly women who works in reception who was point finger and calling '' you come here'' like we are dogs. This is unacceptable behaviour! I can't say more as there is more to be said on the reception part.This was the worst 5 star with the customer service of the reception part. ||On the other hand food and drinks where inedible. Head chef and his team has no idea how to cook Mediterranean food. Waste of money. And breakfast opened late aswell, and after opening late the omelette station was still closed and one of the chef said that it's not ready when breakfast should open at 7:30am. And the website is not updated as breakfast says it opens at 6:30am. Not to mention many plates where full of water not polished and underneath the plate was dirty with bits of food from the previous people HOW DIRTY CAN YOU BE!! And neither they don't know how to lable food as not all food was labeled. And where labeled incorrectly. ||There needs to be a huge change on the staff and Especially MANAGERS !! ||And with the cleaning it was all dusty and full off hair of other people. I even found out a boxer of someone else under the vanity. ||Not to mention one of the night I found the housekeeping laying on our deck hair instead of doing there job. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional. SHAME ON YOU GALINI PALACE !!!! YOU MANGES TO BE THE WORST 5 STAR HOTEL you deserve a 2...

Horrible place . The pictures are fake. They look nothing like the hotel pictures in the website. No restrooms pictures. Restrooms are very small and the shower heads in all rooms do not go over your head. The smell of cigarettes everywhere you go in the hotel and the mold smells is heavy mixed with cigarettes smell. Additionally, the owner was arguing with me when I complained about the shower condition and hot water and the smell. He told me I can leave if I don’t like it. The walls are dirty and old, the stein of yellow colors on the walls, the balcony doors won’t locks. And there is no hairdryers or a basic electric tea pot/coffee maker in the rooms. Beds are smaller than usual and uncomfortable. The refrigerator door was broken. It is not safe anyone can come in. the rooms don’t have key cards, it is early 1900 locks, anyone can unlock it with a screwdriver or safety pin. The WIFI doesn’t work, I had to use my international package which cost me a lot. Over all if you want to have the worst experience in Athen this is a place or you want to punish someone you can refer them to this hotel. Otherwise stay as far as possible from Galini...

Stayed there 4 nights. The only positive thing about this hotel is the location. That's why I picked it. Everything else is all negative.

You can't take a shower without banging yourself somewhere. It's tiny, and you can't wash yourself without water running on the floor.

Once in bed, good luck falling asleep. The cars and motorcycles drive so fast, and the lack of insulation around the windows makes it sound as if you're sleeping on the sidewalk.

The mattress is so hard it actually feels as if you're sleeping on the sidewalk cement.

There's a short whistling chirping sound literally every 2 minutes, 24 hours a day, and it's the most annoying, loud pitched sound you can get. Sounds like a warning that an alarm battery is weak or empty.

I asked one employee, she said what noise. 🤦‍♂️. I asked another employee, she said its been ringing so long that they don't even notice it anymore.

I regret staying there. We will not be going back.
