As we were staying nearby, this was our ‘regular’ beach, and having tried others I think we got quite lucky. It is a decent sized stretch of clean fine sand, clear water (quite salty, floating is not a problem here), and a bit of local wildlife in the form of fish, birds, and turtles. A supermarket close by for supplies, plenty of parking (not particularly well signed but it is there), water activities like jet skis/bananas/turbo rides etc. and a beach bar for snacks and happy hour cocktails mean that it is well equipped for families, couples, groups, and everyone else. There is plenty of space if you want to rock up with a towel and lie on the beach with a brolly, or there are sunbeds for hire which will run you 8 Euro for a pair of them and an umbrella (with a little shelf and some hooks for your stuff.) They are quite densely packed though, so moving your bed to stay in/get out of the sun means you’ll be quite friendly with your neighbours. Beds at the West end of the beach are reserved for guests of the hotel there, but there is a little beach shop there open to all. One issue we found was that we couldn’t see a toilet, but our hotel was so close we didn’t really need it. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area and fancy a dip...

Read moreNice quiet beach with soft sand, a short walk from the bus stop. The sunbeds are 10 euros for the pair at Bamboon beach bar. We had frappes which were 3 euros and the special club sandwich for 10 euro, both were good and the staff is nice. In late July it was kind of crowded in the water. The biggest minus is the fact that there aren't toilets on the beach, we used the ones from the restaurant at Princess Resort, the walk felt very long in the hot sand. We waited oven an hour to get on a bus back to Skiathos Town, it came full 4 times and...
