We had a very unsatisfactory experience at this hotel, and regretfully, I cannot recommend it. There were multiple issues during our stay that significantly impacted our overall experience.|Firstly, the staff were unpleasant and rude from the outset. We arrived to check in at 12:45 PM (the posted check-in time on Booking.com was between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM), but we were told to return after 3:00 PM. The room initially appeared ready (the door was open and the room seemed tidy and clean), yet we were still asked to leave. Despite explaining that we had a 1-year-old baby, the staff showed no consideration.|Secondly, there were several issues with the room itself. There was a strong sewer smell emanating from the toilet, and the sink was not draining properly. One day, we encountered yellow water everywhere. We reported these issues, but nothing was done to address them.|When I politely requested pool towels, I was met with the response, "We are not a five-star hotel." Additionally, the property did not appear safe for children. There were exposed power cables hanging from the walls, no designated parking area, and we were directed to park in a field with wood pellets on the driveway and a couple of wells in the middle.|Furthermore, the room was advertised as having pool views but only had a view of the highway. This not only deprived us of the expected tranquility but also subjected us to noise pollution and emissions from buses and cars. |On a positive note, the breakfast was decent. However, this was overshadowed by the numerous issues we faced. |Overall, I do not recommend this place...
Read moreMy wife and I spent two weeks at the Hotel Marina at the beginning of September 2023. When we arrived on Sunday afternoon, it was hot and sunny with a clear blue sky and a lovely clean pool. Unfortunately, Storm Daniel arrived on the Monday and extreme weather alerts were issued and movement was restricted until Thursday evening. Yannis, the owner, worked very hard in torrential rain to keep the building from flooding and the electricity supply working. Also, after the storm, the pool was brown with fine dust and, again, he worked tirelessly to clear it and achieved this by the end of the holiday, spending a lot of money in the process.||Once the storm had passed, we were able to appreciate the Hotel and grounds, which are kept spotlessly clean and are well maintained. Angela, Yannis and family are very friendly and strive to ensure that the guests have a good holiday. Also, the restaurant attached (Esurio) is excellent – please see separate review. We also like the location of the Hotel, close to the beaches, Bus Stop 15 and the Yiadim Super Market. We will definitely return.||Finally, we must not forget the lovely dog, Esco (probably spelt wrongly), who kept us entertained throughout...
Read moreJust got back from a weeks holiday here This small family hotel is brilliant ,lovely friendly people who are all part of same family who work together to creat a great experience even down to the resident little dog who overseas everything that is happening ,this year they offer breakfast which has carefully been thought out and lovely .I had a meal in their outdoor restaurant which was l tasty and as good as any in the local restaurants with waiters who treat you like their family.. people gather around the small bar to chat in the evenings so most people tend to get to know each other .rooms are spacious and there is an easy bus stop right outside to get to other parts of the island and is dirt cheap. Two local beaches within walking distance again all fine and many local restaurants which were excellent . The rooms are spacious with fridge and cups and plates etc if you wanted to make a cold lunch as supermarket within a few mins walk . If you like small and friendly this is your ideal place and a short airport transfer . Gardens are pretty and well kept I can’t see any reason why anyone would be disappointed with this...
