On the way to meet the sunset. There are two parking lots, one at the bottom and the other at the top. Minus, they smoke here. We ate here 1 time. We specially chose a restaurant with a view, arrived almost as soon as they opened. They have a beautiful terrace with a lot of tables, but they fiercely defend their empty tables overlooking the sea, all these tables have "reserved" signs, and insistently offer to sit in the sun or at a table without a sea view. We had to argue with the waiter for some time until we found out that the "reserve" is from 20.00, which is surprising for all reserved tables together, but we came at 18.00 and want to leave before 20.00. At this time, 2 tables were occupied on the entire terrace, moreover, we were going to have dinner, and not just have a drink. It just doesn't seem polite to deny people a normal table who are going to pay for dinner. The waiter spoke to us in English, and after that brought the menu in Greek, it also took some time. Prices are higher here than elsewhere. The food on the bone was large and soft, Greek salad was more expensive than elsewhere, and the greens were dry. The fried calamari was gummy, small portion without any accompaniment other than Tsazyki sauce. I don't think this is the best choice for fried squid sauce. Conclusion: If you like steak, then I recommend this restaurant. If you like squid, I do not recommend this restaurant, but I recommend another one, which you can find in my reviews of Skiathos restaurants and photos of these most delicious squids. Enjoy your exploration of Greek cuisine! And like it ❤ if my review was...
Read moreThis restaurant was quite a disappointment. The food was good, yes, but the overall atmosphere – absolutely not. It’s the kind of restaurant that clearly just wants to make money off everything and does things in a very dishonest way.
As soon as we arrived, someone came to our table and asked, very casually, “Bread?” – it sounded so unimportant, and then they immediately placed it on the table in a way that made it feel like it was complimentary. In the end, it wasn’t – and they even charged it for two people, just because we were two, even though it was only one portion. Haha.
During dinner, we overheard some sort of argument with other guests – apparently something wasn’t right on their bill either. For about half the evening, someone was loudly complaining and dealing with an issue regarding their dinner.
One of the men – who seemed like a manager or someone in charge – appeared very polite at first, but it was all fake. He was absolutely inauthentic, robotic, and inhuman. The atmosphere wasn’t pleasant at all. None of the waiters looked kind or relaxed, and that main guy – you could literally see the money shining in his eyes.
The restaurant benefits from the view – which is probably why many people choose it – but unfortunately, the service and the vibe are far from enjoyable.
At the end, the manager told me, “So remember, nothing is free in Greece.” The next day, we went to another restaurant where we were served bread and a dip as a complimentary starter – as a gesture from the house. So also the Infinity restaurant is making bad name for...
Read moreWe were really looking forward to dining at this restaurant, as it came recommended by a friend who visits Skiathos every year. We made a reservation via email, specifically requesting a table with a view. The email reply gave us the impression that this would be arranged, as it mentioned we’d have “the very best view from the available tables.”
Upon arrival, however, we were seated at a table in the very back with no view at all. We politely asked if there was any possibility to sit at a view table, since that’s what we thought we had reserved. Instead of a friendly clarification or even a simple explanation, the manager (a tall man with long hair) was called over and immediately confronted us in a very aggressive and defensive tone.
We were surprised and taken aback — especially since we never complained, just asked a polite question. The manager insisted he never “promised” anything and told us we had misunderstood, with no attempt at empathy, understanding, or even basic courtesy. His tone made us feel like we were being scolded for simply asking about our reservation.
While the view was important to us, it wasn’t the real issue — it was the attitude and the way we were spoken to. If we had been treated with even a little kindness or professionalism, we would have stayed and enjoyed the meal. Instead, we felt uncomfortable and unwelcome, and chose to leave.
This experience left a very bad impression, and unfortunately, we cannot recommend...
