Bamboon beach bar — Restaurant in Skiathos Municipality

Very nice beach bar, but I don’t understand why they charge 10€ for 2 basic sun beds when there are tons of other beach bars on the island who ask for the same price for way better sun beds. The prices are affordable, you can have also some snacks and the coffee is very decent. The staff is nice, but they have a grumpy old man who insists on everyone paying the sun beds even though they only stayed for 3 hours and not the full day. Visited several lunchtimes during our stay, decent shaded seats along the front of the bar, with another decked area to the side, and service was friendly. It was 6 euros for a large beer, and the soft drinks were 3-4 euros. The salads, burger and the chicken daily special were all good for beach bar food, but the pork gyros were a little disappointing. Had a walk along the beach and stupidly stopped off at Bamboon for a cold drink. What a rip off! They tried to charge us €18 for a small beer and a 'happy hour' cocktail! €10 for a Luke warm Aperol Spritz in a plastic cup! We normally pay €8 on the old port for a very chilled far superior cocktail. These people want shutting down! Just been to the outside bar area at the Princess Hotel....and Aperol Spritz is €12 and far superior.......
