Vassilias Beach Hotel — Hotel in Skiathos Municipality

Just come back from here , could stay here forever . The views are amazing and we could have sat watching the boats , ferries and planes everyday |Location is about 10 minute drive out of Skiathos town , we got the bus everywhere and they go past about every 10 minutes |Our room was in the middle block on ground floor , the room was very clean and spacious , lovely comfortable bed , there is a wetroom/ bathroom . All the windows have mosquito screens but we did get some in room , probably because we liked leaving door open to see the views and listen to the waves !! |It is a bit hilly here , walk to pool is down a quite steep incline or steps but then you can go to bar or down steps to the beach . Sun beds on beach are 15 euros for 2 with umbrella but we just sat on our towels on beach .|There is a lovely little beach bar about 2 mins walk away at little Skiathos past the water sports hut |The water taxi has great views and costs €4 euro pp each way , however if it get windy it get cancelled .|There is 2 supermarkets and bakeries about 10 minutes away at Achladias , walk there is mainly downhill but is quite a climb back up. |The staff are super helpful and friendly , they will book taxis for you or help with car hire , we didn’t use taxis just got the bus everywhere as it is so easy |We loved it here and once we have finished visiting other Greek islands we will be back for...

We had a wonderful stay here, the views are unreal. We had apartment number 9 which was right at the top of the hill, I know a lot of reviews mention the hill but I wasn’t quite prepared for how steep it actually was, we are all physically fit but even we had to have a rest half way. The apartment was a really good size with two separate bedrooms. There was a small kitchenette but I think you would struggle to cook anything as there wasn’t an oven. |The pool area was lovely, there was always lots of spare sun-beds and the pool was a nice size and just a few steps from the beach. The beach is also really nice with some of the clearest waters I have ever seen, we just put towels down on the beach and a few times we had a whole area to ourselves. The pool bar did amazing club sandwiches and iced coffees and we ate in the Taverna next door a few times, the Moussaka was the best we have had. The shop is about a 10 minute walk and next door to the shop is a bakery which serves freshly baked pastries which are ideal for breakfast. We caught the bus a few times into town but quite often it was full and so we found the water taxis to be a much nicer option and then we would get...

Had a great two weeks, room very basic but comfortable. On arrival the room was the cleanist but i went and told reception which sorted it as it was done better for the rest of the holiday. Shower has a lot of limescale, but was clean and worked well. We stayed in the 3rd block down from the main road, which is only a short walk down to the pool, bar, resturant. I will say that all the blocks are on a very steep incline, i was glad we were at the lowest level, but even this was a steep walk back up to the room. I highly recommend the bar and resturant, the food is fantastic!! Also the fact you can get a water taxi from the beech is really useful and a beautiful was to travel into Skiathos town. Overall we had a very relaxing holiday and for our first trip to Skiathos we have fell in love with the Island.
