This beach or this entire area is the most beautiful i ve seen in Thasos. If you re in Thasos, then you just have to come here at this beach and make sure you visit the theme park behind it. You will find a wonderful beach there and the park has some nice alleys through the pine wood (the smell of the pines and their shade is invigorating) that will take you up on the edge where you shall see a breathtaking view of the entire coast while you can visit some ancient ruins and take some wonderfull pictures with the sea. The Aliki beach itself is wonderful and perfect for families with kids. The first round of sunbeds near the first tavern will charge you an account of 80 euros that you can use to get drinks and food from the tavern and the second row of sunbeds will ask you to open an account of 55 euros . We chose the second row and it was more than enough to buy drinks and food (sea food or greek menus). Further up the alley in the left there is a nice walk on the edge where you can view the entire beach and there s an orthodox altar in a cave nearby and a small cave in the bedrock where you can take a nice bath in a beautiful natural pool . This is a wonderful place and you must come here when in Thasos. You will...
Read moreThe beach is really nice; clear water and comfy sun beds. As in many places, you have to pay for lying on sun-beds or to order drink or food from proxy restaurant (even is just water or a beer). Quite OK and everything looks nice but my experience became awful when I ordered something to eat - fresh fish!! AVOID IT OR YOU SHALL DEARLY PAY! For two fishes, four persons (+ just two beers and water) we paid 369.5 euro!!! (I have the payment proof). The restaurant, Beautiful Alice, claim we eat two large fishes of 4 kgs !!! Of course that we protested, but surrounded by quite menacing greek owners and workers, we paid and left with a bitter taste (probable from fish) and with a promise to never eat fresh fish if not clearly knowing the weight BEFORE cooking it! So, please take my advice as a warning that you should never be completely relaxed, if really care about your money. I underlined that is that above story is not about Greece - we spend lovely days, with warm, correct and kind people and I am always returning with pleasure in Greece. It was my bad luck to find that 1% of dishonest Greeks. Since then, I revisited and enjoyed staying at Aliki - but avoided dishes without a clear...
Read moreThe beach is quite small with clar and nice water, but the personnel of the terraces didn't organzied the sunbeds, because it was crowded and they wanted more people on the beach. The umbrella is free if you order lunch at them. At beginning, i said it is ok, but when we had lunch, they made us buy a fish, which we didn't knew how much it will cost. We saw later on the bill: it was 40 euros. So avoid this place, it is a tourist trap. Try to go on the other beach which is smaller, but very well organized. To get there, follow the sign to the aliki beach, and then as the road splits, try the left bay, because on the right you will get at this aweful place. On the left side you will find a small beach with the same nice water, and a small garden with sunbeds and umbrella for only 5 euros. To get there, try this: as you park the car on the main road, take a look to localise both beaches from above. You will find the way for sure, if you have the overview from above. Tip: nearby, at the main road where you park the car, there is a small but coquette supermarket with fresh drinks and...
