Beautiful Alice All Day Bar — Restaurant in Thassos Municipality

We spent almost 2 weeks in Alyki and Beautiful Alice was our home for all this time since day one. It’s been run by the same family for so many years and cooking is home like. Food is just delicious as your grandmas cooking. And they give you a lot on the plate - real Greek family hospitality. Prices are average, most dishes can be shared if you not very hungry. The price list is clear. There’s no unpleasant surprises with price of the fish. You can have it at fixed price. This is important as the neighboring restaurants can surprise the guest with 300 hundreds euros for fish meal... Beautiful Alice is fair with customers. The fruit and ice cream dessert is free. The place is very clean. They finish and start the day with deep cleaning including stone paved road at the back of restaurant. You can see shiny, spotless open kitchen, clean shelves with shiny glass. Toilets are impeccably clean no matter time of the day. The staff is friendly and helpful. They speak the guest language to make you feel at home. Very efficient and well organized. Sun beds and parking is free for the guests. Sun beds cleaned evening and morning. This is really well managed place with friendly and family atmosphere. Food is delicious, made with heart, fresh. I truly miss it. I have some recipes from Beautiful Alice and will try them. But I prefer to go back soon and have this beautiful eggplant, potato salad, octopus with a little glass of tsipouro. And the view....

We spent 1 full day from 9 in the morning till 6 pm. We were attracted here by the so beautiful terrace covered with a vinyard who offers a cooll shade. Immediately after our arival we were offered free parking for our cars and 6 sun beds. Dimitra was all time there explaining the house rule: free parking and sunbeds if only we have lunch to her place (no amount preimposed). We plenty enjoyed that day with kids playing in water and visiting the ruins & gulf on the other side of her place. As for the lunch, I think we had the best one from the Thasos island - so so tasty, fresh and amazing ingredients. My stuffed pepers with rice and minced beef enchanted all my senses, kids eated everything from their plates and our friends fresh fish and meze was generous and again extremly fresh. At the end we were offered 2 huge portions of sweets - greek specialty of fried halva, ice cream, water and yelow melons, cheries and ice cream. WOW! Dimitra introduced me to his father and husband - the chef behind those specialties, but also her right hand Tzakis., so I was practicly adopted by her family! She was all time passing from a table to other, serving, taking orders, but also smiling, joking with kids and customers, helped by friendly Tzakis. Efaristo poli🙏 for another great...

Hands down "Beautiful Alice Restaurant" has the best food we had in Thassos, and we've been in most places on this island a few times by now. It's here that we felt that genuine greek hospitality that lacks in most places, the staff treats you like you're the only one in the restaurant even when it's a full house. It is always clean and tidy, the drinks arrive super quick every time and the food as well. It is clear that the Chef knows what he's doing and not wingin' it like other places, and the custodian is one of the nicest guys you'll meet on this island. Everytime we go there we either get customised meals from the daily catch(yes they actually have fresh fish caught in the morning) or go by his recommendation and I have to tell you we've never left hungry or dissapointed from this place. On top of the nice food and super friendly staff, you'll have the best views of Alyki Beach and the sunset here is gorgeous. I cannot emphasize how enough how great this place is, if I could I would pack it up in a small box and take it home with me so that all my friends and family could enjoy this gem of a restaurant.
